It's one thing if you unknowingly end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and quite another when you plan to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He waived his right to self-defense with a firearm in that state and most others across the US.

Let's see what the jury thinks, shall we? Those who chose to attack him while he was armed, got exactly what they deserved. They CHOSE to try to beat him down and take his weapon. If you want to see him in prison for being there then I'd suggest he'd have a LOT of company. Many, many other shots were heard that night. He wasn't the only one carrying and the bottom line is that he was attacked and he defended himself.

Those who seriously believe he should be convicted of murder or even manslaughter, can only defend that stance by saying he shouldn't have been there. NONE OF THEM should have been there. The two who assumed room temperature and the one who got his biceps vaporized, ALL MADE A BAD CHOICE.

Do you believe that when he is acquitted, citizens in Kenosha and other Blue American cities should be able to repeat the violence and lawlessness as a protest?

Also, the defense has asked for a mistrial with prejudice. If the judge grants it, the DA's office can't bring this for prosecution again.

Police don't make the decision of backing down or charging a situation. That's done by the chief and politicians usually telling them what to do. If a city allows riots to go uninterrupted, you take that up with them, not put on your Rambo gear to show them you can do it better. Rittenhouse had no business there anyway. The only thing I can think of he's a really bad lawyer or he's deliberately trying to throw the case for some reason.
