Kick Pacific Coast States Out of America

Nah. California and Hawaii are prime real estate. Plus access to the Pacific. I say we keep them and just get rid of all of the losers.
Prime real estate! I wouldn't give a nickel for either one of them. They are both disaster areas. Wildfires all summer, Floods, mudslides all winter. Earthquakes. Smog. Cold windy beaches. Ice cold ocean water.

But there are way, way more Biden supporters in the state. Pretty much double the Trump supporters.

With the legislature even more lopsided toward democrats.

62 Democrats and 18 Republicans in the Assembly and 32 Democrats and 8 Republicans in the Senate. You'd need the State Legislature to consent to the loss of territory to make up your imaginary 'Jefferson' or any other new state....just to start.

Its not happening.

You just don't have the numbers. Its not even close.

no more realistic than Greater Idaho Or Baja Arizona ... ( State of Jefferson)

None of them are happening. There just isn't the support among the state legislatures to cede territory.

In each case, its a remote, relatively unpopulated section of a state that wants to join other remote, relatively unpopulated sections of other states. And all of those states would have to consent.

None of them do. Nor are any likely to in any near future. The numbers just aren't there.

The complete lack of any support for your silly idea by any state, including 'those states'. And their support of left leaning candidates and policies like those in California.

And of course, you're not going to get California, Hawaii, Oregon nor Washington to kick themselves out of the United States.

Math kills your entire fantasy. You don't have a single state supporting your absurd little nonsense. And you need 38

This is just more of your pointless political fan fiction.
:puhleeze:Try reading post # 96 again, Maybe this time a bit slower.

You just can't stand the idea of leaving us conservatives. You love us.

States have seceded before.

States have rebelled before. And been slapped down, with the Supreme Court finding that no State has the authority to secede.

Worse, we're not talking about State seceding. We're talking about COUNTIES, against the consent of the State Legislatures.

Which is constitutionally forbidden by Article IV, Section 3, Clause 1.

Or more ludicrously, States being expelled from the Union. Which would require 38 states to amend the constitution. And advocates of this fantasy don't have 1.

Its not happening. This is all political fan fiction. Just random folks dreaming about what they want, with a snowball's chance in hell of ever getting there.

Liberals are pushing us towards secession.

You lack the authority to secede under the constitution. And not one State backed such nonsense.

You're offering us yet another meaningless, pointless fantasy.

Maybe you folks should grow up and learn to co-exist and collaborate with people who don't think just like you do.

The voices you trust have convinced you that's impossible. They're lying to you because it pays really, really well.

Indeed. Convincing rubes to ape political fan fiction is wildly lucrative. It doesn't change how spectacularly unconstitutional such proposals are if they ever tried to enact them.

Or how foolish. I mean, seceding without a State? That's just a riot. Ask Shay or the J6ers how that goes.

But the rubes don't think that far. They're beating their chests in pure impotence and ignorance of how any of this works.

Their thought processes have become completely calcified.

This began the day Limbaugh went national.

I think Colbert nailed it. Its truthiness. The idea that it doesn't matter if something is actually true, as long as it feels true. Its fairly akin to faith. Which is why evangelicals are such fertile ground for MAGA nonsense to flourish.

You have people that don't know what they're talking about apeing other people that don't know what they're talking about, assuming that if they agree with each other.....that the laws, nation, and reality itself just magically morphs into whatever they made up.

As the lack of the 'State of Jefferson', the non-existence of 'greater Idaho', the perfect record of failure of the Big Lie, Trump rage tweeting from a toilet in Florida while Biden is in the White House, and 91 felony charges demonstrate elegantly.......that's not how any of this works.

Good then you know there are more Republican Trump Supporters in California than there are Republican Trump Supporters in Montana / Wyoming / South Dakota and Idaho Combined

Shasta County ( State of Jefferson ) is 72% GOP and 89% Non Minority
I am not familiar with the counties of California but from looking @ the Phase 2 map of the Greater Idaho project Shasta county would be included into the Greater Idaho project phase 2.

Not without the consent of the California legislature, they won't.

Which won't happen.

Its a tacit acknowledgment of Conservatives that in the market place of ideas, they lack the capacity to persuade. The only way their fragile political movement can flourish is to detach themselves physically from any place where people that disagree with them exist.

And of course, its all poorly thought through. The counties in question are generally net recipients of funds from the larger states, being poorer counties. Forming a 'state' of the most poverty stricken counties of several states just creates another Louisiana. Not prosperity.

There is a word that has been used that, for some reason, has stuck with me: "Untethered".

I truly don't mean this as an insult. It's very frustrating. But this separate ecosystem just creates its own reality and then imposes it. And all these years into it, the rest of the planet still hasn't figured out how to directly address it.

Its constitutionally forbidden to do so . It can't leave the union. And as long as its in the union, the state can't lose territory without the consent of its state legislature. Which it doesn't have.

You'd need an amendment....which requires 38 states. And you don't have 1.

This is just rhetorical masturbation.
