The OT is men seeking God. It is the preamble. The NT is God answering men. It is the main story. It's literally why people have such a hard time reconciling the God of the NT with the God of the OT. The OT was men crafting narratives of historical events showing their belief that God was on their side. The NT was God showing man that he cares and loves everyone.

I guess you never paid attention to what Jesus told Pilate. Jesus told Pontius Pilate that His kingdom was "not of this world". He explained that if His dominion were a worldly, political empire, His followers would have fought to protect Him from arrest. Instead, He stated that He came to bear witness to the truth, and that everyone who belongs to the truth listens to His voice. It's not anti-Semitic to say the religious leaders had Jesus put to death for sorcery and apostasy. It's the historical record.
