Meh. The entire affair was, in my view, just a shiny distraction to keep the masses looking the other way and not to pay any mind to the real swamp in Washington.

This can't be the first time we've seen green in the pool.
Water treatment is a fairly recent science by comparison.

Not sure why anyone thought that they could treat that much water effectively without building a massive pump complex.
It would have to be huge.

The electric bill alone would be a monster.

I don't know what all this is about or where it's expected to go.

I was at the mall in 95 or 96 and I remember the water (at least) near the Lincoln Memorial was not that bad at all. I didn't, myself. But I do remember others sitting on the side and soaking their feet in it.

I remember some thinking it was disrespectful.

It was so freaking hot, though.

I wanted to risk it myself.

While "we" know how to prevent algae formation, I would wager that it involves chemicals that might be harmful to either humans or pets, so they didn't go the Full Monte with the prevention stuff. This will be resolved and the pond will be beautiful.

The Trump Organization no longer operates the Wollman Rink in Central Park, as the city cut ties with the company in early 2021. While Donald Trump's company submitted bids to reclaim the contract, the city officially selected a consortium led by Related Companies and CityPickle to run the venue.

The Democrats are tying to distract attention away from the fact that every perp in the Epstein files was either a Democrat or a foreigner. Zero Republicans involved.
