Kari Lake Makes Ambassador, How Good Is That?

In one sense, she is right. Steven Richer was a republican in charge of the elections. He was the elected head of elections in Maricopa County, the second largest voting juristiction in the country. He also had a pact that specficially targeted the defeat of those who were election deniers (talk about a conflict of interest).

His department blew it. Lake should not have claimed victory. She should have claimed a botched election. Which it was.

Well maybe. Maybe he did not know you needed a certain size paper or what if he had the right size paper and someone switched it out at the last second knowing the machines?

Thing is, unless this guy switched the papers himself or was paid to look the other way, maybe technically you can say he was responsible, in the end, democrats cheated (unless the GOP did it themselves hating Kari), and the wrong person was put in office.

What gets me is dumb shit like this happens all the time to our elections; had this been the democrats I would bet that they would have appealed this and won a do-over or something, but in the case of the GOP, it never falls their way, and in that rare occasion it does, like the VA SC ruling the redistricting illegal and invalid, look at what the democrats do----

The republicans would have likely walked away and accepted the court's decision, instead, democrats want to replace the entire court.

No. Richer was a McStainer......

He should have known better and made sure everything was perfect. All eyes were upon him after 2020.

And he messed up. I have never called it cheating.....but it was incompetence.

She brought it on herself with the constant bleating about 2020.

She was a nut case during the primary to beat KTR. However, in the general she was a great candidate. Smooth and VERY VERY KNOWLEGABLE.

But she would not shut up about the steal.

The GOP needs to be on it's game. Much better than before. In AZ we are getting better.

All in the name of saving democracy.

Hypocrites.

Here is my thread and if you have not watched the first 9 minutes of the video I suggest you do.

It really did start to shape my thinking about going after leftists who hate this country and relentlessly dogging them and throwing them out of office and the country if possible (or in jail when they have broken the law).

Point taken. In other words, typical GOP.

Maybe she thought it would anger and enable more voters to come out and vote for her. I know she talked about it often and perhaps she should have done like Spamburger and said little or nothing of it until in office, then gone all-out trying to prove the case.

In the end, she could have had better guidance in her campaign (democrats get Hollywood to script them), the guy running the show could have been more on top of the issue, and the democrats (most likely) should not have rigged the election with their constant curve balls trying to trip up their opponent while gaming theirs.

If our politics continues to slide into this kind of savage cheating and backstabbing instead of playing fair and by the rules and letting the better man (ahem) win, we are done for as a republic and are becoming a banana republic.

Yes.....a real cluster mess.

There was a lot of rage here in that regard. AZ was seen as the reason Biden lost (even though winning it would have not changed things). The hard right would not let go and this fed them. She hoped to win off of that rage. But the McStain arm of the party was still influential and they pulled back.

It was a central part of her campaign. After the primary she claimed she had killed the McStain arm of the party.

She would not listen.

She lost by something like 17,000 votes. Later we would learn that over 200,000 republicans that requested mail in ballots did not return them.

Right after losing, she pulled a stunt where she released secret tape recording of her and (then) AZGOP Chair Jeff DeWit. She threatened to release more if he did not resign. THAT REALLY PISSED PEOPLE OFF and, in my estimation doomed her senate campaign for the start.

She was calling for unity at one function of party operatives.....as she was litteraly booed off the stage.

I knew we were screwed.

And BTW: Hobbs truly is stupid. She is rarely on camera as she can't handle it.

I take it you live the AZ. I really like Kari, I think she was a really smart, honest, informed woman. I though she was the right direction for US politics. I know everytime I caught her being interviewed, she was railing (partly or wholly) on that whole Trump/Biden 2020 election thing.

Honestly, that SHOULD have been a major campaign issue, elections being stolen should be of major concern to all, but it does not sound like Kari was getting good campaign advice, maybe crooks in the GOP were afraid of her, maybe she was winging it, it sounds like she got some bad advice or just overdid too much too soon; 2020 might have been better something to take on after getting elected, ala Spamburger.

Sure seems suspicious that 200,000 requested ballots were never sent back. Especially considering that at that time, republicans were not big on mail-ins.
