Just the facts folks... 20 million newly eligible able-bodied adults were added to Medicaid..

The facts folks...
“Between 2013 and 2021, almost 20 million newly eligible able-bodied adults were added to Medicaid.
Of the working-age adults on Medicaid, 9.5 million are parents, 13.8 million are disabled, and
13.9 million are able-bodied adults without ...
Today, a plurality of Medicaid spending goes towards able-bodied adults, with 62 percent of them not working, seeking education/training, nor volunteering.
Now the average Medicaid beneficiary gets in 2021 $9,992 – $13,338
So folks 13,900,000 ABLE-Bodied get an average of $11,000 or $ 162,143,500,000 a year...

Wrong.
Able bodied can't qualify for Medicaid, and even if they did, unless they have health emergencies, they are not going to cost anything.

This is just propaganda.

The reality is that it is insurance companies that have doubled the cost of health care, and it is health insurance companies we have to get out of health care.
And it is easy to do.
All we have to do is stop the IRS tax exemption on employer benefits to employees.
That will end the fraud of the poor whose jobs do not offer insurance, subsidizing the health care of the wealthy who do get free health insurance.

It's ******* ridiculous. You can tell that none of the MAGA imbeciles on this board have real lives where they are actually paying for health insurance. Someone else is taking care of their sorry asses.
Or we understand it’s our responsibility to pay for our own healthcare.

Did you ever pass a math class in your life? That’s 13,000 x 13 million. Let’s see if you can come back with the correct answer.

{...
In fiscal year 2023, Medicaid provided health care services to 96 million individuals at a total cost of $894 billion1. The federal government spent $616 billion on Medicaid, with total Medicaid spending of $860 billion2. The federal share of total Medicaid spending increased from 60 percent to 72 percent between 2008 and 2023
...}

But the reality is that I almost never had health insurance in my life because I was a contractor and did not want to waste the money.
When employers but health insurance, they get volume discounts.
That forces individual buyers to get charged twice as much.
Like most people, I never had to see a doctor until I was older, and then Medicare covered it.

Anyone claiming that each average individual spends $13k a year on health care, is not telling the truth.

The truth is Medicaid is almost entirely Aid to Dependent Children, or the Disabled.

Because they know it isn't as bad as you're portraying it.

Even still, I don't support the bill at all, due to the debt it adds.

Surprised? Nah, you just fantasize about dying "MAGA bumpkins."

Agreed.
Since there is no epidemic, recession, or war, we should be paying down the National Debt, not adding to it.

Dude, you wish!!

Why??? It would be interesting to know a more detailed analysis. As I said in another post......states have alot of say in how funds are paid.

I live in WA, a 'sanctuary state' where it's more lenient in their rules. In the application for any kind of assistance are questions about citizenship, whether or not a jail or prison inmate and a few others I can't recall at the moment. Answers to those questions do not disqualify anyone from receiving the assistance, but more to what program they receive it from.

How do I know that??? Cause I worked for a local welfare office for 12 years in late 80's and thru 90's. Nothing has changed, other than the states programs they pay benefits from and most often any change is the name of the program. Even those who don't qualify for one program, the system allows them to qualify for something else.......but it's all still the same money.

Other states that are more strict in their programs, wouldn't have the same issues.

btw. it's dudette......now go play on the freeway

So you’re a dependent or disabled. Which is it? Because by your own admission you never have taken care of yourself you have been dependent on the tax payers largesse.

Some lessons have to be learned the hard way. And i guarantee you that the dying words of these guys will be something along the lines of “Soros...you bastard!”
Where do you get this idea that people will die because of this from? How many of your apocalyptic predictions have come true, hmm?

Hey.....they might have mental issues.

Like most of the lefties on this board.

Exactly why is this statement still up here? It has nothing to do wth the thread topic. S since this off topic persna attack was awe, I'll just say this t your rggedy white ass, if you wnt a welfare recipe to get there knees, go home to y our wife itch because I've never got welfare. And while we're at it, make certain you keep your asshole greased up for that billionaire who gets millions in welfare as he keeps doing you while telling you how it is black people taking your money.

MAGATS are stupid!
I slapped you around a little for being a jackass, you will live just relax.

Or we understand it’s our responsibility to pay for our own healthcare.
Just like you should pay for your own roads. Is that why you use other people's premiums to pay for your care?

LMAO so vote Dem or die is that it. :auiqs.jpg:ALARM Dems have once again predicted we are all gonna DIE!! A horrible death by the way. Laying in a ditch, slowing gasping for that last breath, while MAGA voters walk past and ignore you.

So low income people do not have to worry about getting sick or have their medical conditions taken care of.

They are not getting rich off of this…..they just get to survive

MAGA points to urban dwellers and calls them freeloaders. But Medicare expansion also helped those is red states……Appalachia, Louisiana, Mississippi

The issue is NOT all people on Medicaid are disabled, unable to work, live a normal life!
FACTS!!

So tell me why do you defend 13.9 million people who are able to work?

...69 percent of the increased federal Medicaid costs since 2000 can be attributed to Obamacare enrollment increases!

Obama "LIED" especially when he said :
"We are not a nation that accepts nearly 46 million uninsured men, women and children," President Obama told doctors in a speech before the American Medical Association in Chicago in June.

FACTS were:
  • 11 million are illegals and
  • FACT
  • 14 million were eligible for Medicaid.. they didn't know they were covered!
  • So that left 21 million truly "uninsured" BUT WAIT...
  • What about the military?
  • Study Finds 1.8 Million Veterans Are Uninsured

  • Study Finds 1.8 Million Veterans Are Uninsured - PNHP
  • This proves that veterans were covered but Obama et.al. never considered that!

So in reality Subtracting 11 million illegals, 14 million already eligible for Medicaid, and 1.8 million military almost
27 million that left less than 20 million! Totally LIE.

.

Wrong. People can be mentally disabled and able bodied and qualify.
