Medicaid was expanded to cover people who were on the fringe. No real medical coverage

If you tell people to go to work, how about their employer be required to provide for their medical care?

Medical care is a necessity not a luxury.
Why kick 8 million people off their coverage

Mentally disabled do qualify, and able bodied as well but the system considers them separately. You're either one or the other. Any disability is paid as SSI, which like TANF automatically qualifies you for Medicaid, unless you have insurance thru another source, though Medicaid may be a secondary insurance payor for anything the first doesn't pay......but that is rare.

Able bodied are those who are able to work but can't find a job (or won't)......such as having a family, lost your job, run thru unemployment and still can't find another job and have no other options......they apply for TANF cash assistance, and automatically get Medicaid as well and Food Stamps

Each program (TANF/Medicaid/Food Stamps) have their own rules and qualifications and how any income or resources are counted. IIRC, if you pick up a part time or on-call type job, that income is counted dollar for dollar in the month you earned it for TANF, but with food stamps what you earn LAST month is counted against NEXT months benefits.

"Counting' your income vs benefits, means whatever your income minus allowable deductions....so like a 'net' income, then THAT amount is deducted from any benefit amount you might qualify for.

Because part of the 8 million are ILLEGALS! Why do you get all bent out of shape regarding NOT paying for people that break the law, i.e. coming into the USA..ILLEGALLY!

You have to work to get Medicaid. But if you work, your employer should provide healthcare
