Just the facts folks... 20 million newly eligible able-bodied adults were added to Medicaid..

Kind of a Catch 22

You have to work to get Medicaid. But if you work, your employer should provide healthcare

No they don't have to work to get MedicAID. It is the medical version of welfare.

MediCARE, along with Social Security is what you work and pay for thru payroll deduction........paid to you when you either retire or become disabled.

Anyone that is disabled but has NOT worked 10+ years, is eligible for SSI and MediCAID.

SSDI is paid to those who become disabled, who have worked the required time and paid into SSA's system and after 2 years automatically get MediCARE.

Two different programs, two different rules. One you work and pay for, while the other is when you don't work and others pay for it

It is obvious that your attention span is less than the average American, as this is too much information for you!
You don't know what "able-bodied" means so I've helped you!
"able-bodied"..."having a healthy and strong body : physically fit"
And more complicated you don't seem to recognize this FACT!
The 13,900,000 ABLE-Bodied get an average of $11,000 or $ 162,143,500,000 a year...
"Approximately 13.9 million Americans categorized as able-bodied adults without dependents (ABAWDs) are enrolled in Medicaid. "
FACTS...
but again reading FACTS is hard for you with your less than Average American's 8.5 second attention span!
Describing me as if I were you is so gigglesome.

So... make work eligibility fills part of the system.

Our poor people need to be take care of.

What?

What happened to all that fruit that's not being picked because the illegal aliens are afraid to come here?

There's the jobs those folks need.

WTF are you talking about????

I remember when I was a young teen working in the strawberry fields picking berries.......something the younger generation wouldn't dirty their hands for because it's below them to do such menial work and of course you can't be CEO of anything there. Doing that along with mowing lawns & washing cars, babysitting, cleaning newly built apartments and whatever else I could do to make a few bucks of my own because I didn't get an allowance and if I wanted anything I had to buy it myself cause my parents weren't going to

Not much pay, no benefits, hard back breaking work and definitely no future in it.........but it is a place to start and learn a few things.

Again the FACTS contradict your guesses! Why don't you do a simple "Google" inquiry before you make
your totally REFUTABLE statements? Probably because your opinions are formed by few facts!
Obviously the gross distinction between you and me is I don't take chances on making erroneous assumptions!

In April 2025, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that job openings
totaled 7.4 million, a slight increase of 191,000 from the previous month

Approximately 21 million prime-age Americans are not working and not looking for work.
This group represents about 19% of the prime-age population.
The United States has record numbers of open jobs this year,
with up to two openings for every unemployed person.

There are also millions of other Americans who aren’t seeking work but say they’d like to have a job.
And both groups are massively outnumbered by ...
nonworking Americans who say they don’t want to work for reasons such as school, health, or taking care of a family.

The facts folks...
“Between 2013 and 2021, almost 20 million newly eligible able-bodied adults were added to Medicaid.
Of the working-age adults on Medicaid, 9.5 million are parents, 13.8 million are disabled, and
13.9 million are able-bodied adults without ...
Today, a plurality of Medicaid spending goes towards able-bodied adults, with 62 percent of them not working, seeking education/training, nor volunteering.
Now the average Medicaid beneficiary gets in 2021 $9,992 – $13,338
So folks 13,900,000 ABLE-Bodied get an average of $11,000 or $ 162,143,500,000 a year...
The majority of them post here that's why they're pissed off all the time. Besides Obama phones did Obama also pass out Internet tablets?

That in itself doesn't say a whole lot. Maybe those 20 million were all illegal aliens still needing basic healthcare while here.

Maybe they are working people who do not earn enough to afford a private healthcare plan.

The drama around the BBB the dems will have a massive victory in Nov next year if they just stay the course.
From the guy who told us Trump would lose and that they'd keep the senate....and win the house.

Then impeach SCOTUS.

Your predictions have been consistent....if nothing else.

Consistently wrong.

Again like a 7th grader you depend on cartoons and then you make up lies! How sad. You scribbled,
"having the same problems with covid conspiracies"

COVID: Top 10 current conspiracy theories

COVID-19 conspiracy theories are beliefs that the pandemic and related events were orchestrated by powerful, hidden groups for malicious purposes, rather than being the result of natural or accidental causes.
These theories offer alternative narratives that often reject accepted scientific explanations and public health guidelines.
Hmmm...
Now I have no problem with dealing with the FACTS regarding "COVID Conspiracies" and here
is a web site that totally negates the majority of the conspiracies. The sad reality is this though:
Randi Weingarten, the president of the American Federation of Teachers(AFT), recently resigned from her position on the Democratic National Committee (DNC). She cited a difference in vision for the party's direction as the reason for her departure.
Now I'm pointing this out because here is what she did in 2019 regarding COVID-19!

Not fabricating anything........nor did I say immigrants haven't been doing those things. The question would be if they were legal immigrants or not,

High school kids were bussed to the fields to do the picking during the summer. It was optional, not mandatory. And most adult pickers were Asian, and in fact still are, though back in the 70's Hispanics were few on the west side. Maybe/probably higher on the east side where there was/is more crop farming and orchards. Many of them are legal.....many are not.

Kids need to learn about taking some responsibility, and doing work for pay,,,,,,whether it's farm work or other menial jobs and they wouldn't be expecting everything handed to them and bitching if they don't get it. More importantly, it would get them out of the house doing something and interacting with others and away from their damn gadgets. They'd also learn some self respect and pride in accomplishments that would maybe keep them off drugs or depression.......you know, some of those real world problems that plague alot of the population

Over 60% of medicaid recepients work. The OP is full of shit.
It's an extremely limited income ceiling determined by the states.

I do think the country does need some type of 'safety net' for the poor and disadvantaged......but I also think there needs to be an overhaul of the rules.

The Hill-Burton Act

Community Service Obligations:
In return for funding, facilities were obligated to provide a certain amount of free or reduced-cost care to those unable to pay and to make their services available to all residents within their service area.

Able bodied can't qualify for Medicaid, and even if they did, unless they have health emergencies, they are not going to cost anything.
These are the qualifications here:

Medical Assistance eligibility is grouped by:

  • Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI)
    • Children aged 18 and under
    • Pregnant women
    • Parents and caretakers of children under 21
    • Adults ages 19-64 with incomes at or below 133 percent of the Federal Income Poverty Guidelines (FPIG)
    • Family planning services
So low income people do not have to worry about getting sick or have their medical conditions taken care of.
Already law, free clinics, etc. All based on income levels.

Why kick 8 million people off their coverage
Do you know people qualify at an income level and can't make income above the limits who also purposely live at that level so they won't lose their coverage? Many do under the table stuff. Toss in $300in snap.

Are they disabled? Are they able to work? You have no idea.
Medicaid would know that.............Like I said, having income at or below the federal income poverty level qualifies one, even if they are a track star.
Immigrants overwhelmingly have been picking our crops since WWI.
BS......................been dwindling since the 70's with the advent of crop picking technology.
The drama around the BBB the dems will have a massive victory in Nov next year if they just stay the course.
