Just got my new eyeball!

Update. My eye is still a bit cloudy three days out. It may just be inflammation, or cloudiness on the backside membrane, which can be solved using laser. Focus is perfect however. I actually may postpone the other eye until this is resolved.

Update. I have cancelled my left eye cataract operation as the cataract isn't that serious at this time. The fogginess continues in my right eye, and my ophthalmologist doesn't seem to know how to deal with it. It might be a condition called posterior capsular opacification, which she seems to be ignorant of. I'll still give it more time to resolve. If it doesn't, I will go to a different eye doctor. It's a treatable condition so I'm not too worried. It's not noticeable indoors but in daylight there is a foggy glare, but it is mitigated by the clarity of my left eye. All in all it's a big improvement.

If it is posterior capsular opacification it does not go away by itself. Lazer surgery that take a couple minutes will fix it.

Is that Dr the same one who did your cataract? If so she should certainly know what that is and how to treat.

I did not have it but I have to wear sunglasses outside whether sunny or overcast. Also in some stores with flourescent lighting.

I'm waiting for the eye to completely heal before I make any decisions. The laser treatment is not without risks. It will damage the integrity of the 'capsule' that holds the new lens and possible cause it to move out of place. It can also damage the lens itself. Any cataract in my left eye is minimal. The problem is refraction which can be resolved with a corrective prescription. My doctor said some things that makes me question either her knowledge or her intent.
