Zone1 Just because life is hard, does not mean God does not exist

Strongest, best example?
The strongest example is stated in the first Commandment (and other places). Put God first. That's the difference between believers and non-believers. Non-believers spend as much time trying to sweep God out of life as believers do in their efforts to keep God first.

Try this: What have you gained by keeping God out of your life, particularly every day life? If you ever did believe, what did you lose?

My reason for my original response can be boiled down to this. "I have a personal problem with a God of any faith that wants to take credit for creating this shit sandwich and wants to punish me for an eternity if I don't eat it and thank him for every bite of it."
Notice how you place your own idea of what God is/what he is doing so you don't have to bother with Him.

The real message is believe in Jesus or burn in hell. They are using a threat to compel obedience.
Another who belongs to that legion of, "Let's make things up!" And then tell believers what they are "really" doing!

You haven't a clue--and what is sorrowfully worse, you won't accept a clue.

Hell is a threat or do you think its a spa
How do you describe hell? By Dante's Inferno, a work of fiction? No one's going to Dante's Inferno. Hell is a choice to exist without God. If that's what someone wants, my guess is that they think of it as a spa--without God. Others choose a spa--with God. Why are you so hung up on people's choices?

"God" is welcome to correct me and set me straight, anytime.

The same offer is extended to Budda, Thor, Easter Bunny, Santa, and any "sane democrats."

Malachi 3

“I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the LORD Almighty.
2 But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap.

3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness,

God refines his people through trials.

He does not forsake them even though it might feel as though he has.
