Life isnt hard its free. We are not bees or ants wit no meaning or purpose. Life is as hard as you make it. Opposition makes us stronger and better. How does one define himself as victim or a survivor

Ok, for what it's worth, I responded to a post in the Active Topics feed. I didn't go into the religious forum deliberately.

Also, not mad.

Some people need their faith.

Like I said before, I get that.

My reason for my original response can be boiled down to this. "I have a personal problem with a God of any faith that wants to take credit for creating this shit sandwich and wants to punish me for an eternity if I don't eat it and thank him for every bite of it."

In every other system, sacrifices are an appeasement, a way to "make good" with God. WE are doing the sacrificing.

Christianity says there's nothing we can do to "make good" with God. Only He can do that, and He did, by sending His Son to be the perfect sacrifice for us.

on the contrary I think atheism is completely irrational.

All of this happened for no reason at all, and we are just basically meatbags floating through space.....yet for some reason we have ideas of morals and right/wrong with no one knows why.

Truly, the only people who live like atheists are psychopaths and sociopaths. Everyone else lives as if there's a God whether they own to it or not.

Sure you can be HARMED, but you can't be THREATENED. I don't believe that scorpions are going to fall from a cloud today and inject me with venom, therefore I'm not threatened by this scenario. If, however, this happens, and I'm harmed, no one is denying that the harm is real.
