Yet another FBI fabricated crime fails.Jury finds 2 men not guilty in Whitmer kidnap case; unable to reach verdicts on 2 others
Grand Rapids — Jurors acquitted two men Friday accused of plotting to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and deadlocked on charges against the two alleged ringleaders, delivering a staggering blow to the government in one of the largest domestic terrorism cases in recent U.S. history.
Chief U.S. District Robert Jonker declared a mistrial on kidnapping conspiracy charges against accused ringleaders Adam Fox, 38, of Potterville, and Barry Croft, 46, of Delaware. Accused plotters Daniel Harris, 24, of Lake Orion, and Brandon Caserta, 34, of Canton Township, were being freed Friday afternoon after nearly two years behind bars.
Dem heads are going to explode.
I know why you guys side with the kidnappers
Whitmer blamed former President Donald Trump for fomenting anger over coronavirus restrictions and refusing to condemn right-wing extremists like those charged in the case.

How true. After the upcoming election, (assuming the actual will of the people is represented), I'm hoping for a congressional investigation to find out which democrat politicians the F.B.I. was working with here.
On the contrary, they are very good at it and have been doing it for a long time. The war on drugs has given them a lot of practice. On the rare occasion when sources and methods become known, they are categorically rejected. The American Stasi aren't very good at it yet.
But they're trying.
The fact that the FBI made up 12 of the 18 people involved in the plot and were clearly entrapping the remaining six.
NonsenseSounds like they should go after the FBI agents involved.
I have to remember how much of a die hard nazi you are. You would even defend kidnapping your political opponents. You wouldn't convict. Same way Mitch wouldn't convict Trump even though he admitted Trump was guilty. Just that because Trump lost, he was no longer the president anymore so convicting him of impeachment would not be appropriate. But Trump was still the acting president. He was just on his way out. But Mitch should have convicted him because now we have the possibility of Trump running again. He should not be allowed. He needs to be convicted of a felony so he's not qualified. Which felony? Pick one. That was enough to prevent a FBI lynching.
Yes, you Republicans, on a national level, have demonized her during the pandemic. Why? You fear the fuck out of her. She's on the short list to run as president. Now let me see you shit your pants over it.
Well, that's one vote for a Stassi style secret police that indulges in entrapment tactics against political opponents, anyway.Nonsense
The first time federal prosecutors tried to convince a jury that a group of men plotted to kidnap Michigan’s Democratic governor, they failed to get a single conviction. But on Tuesday, jurors in a second trial found the two remaining defendants guilty, providing a measure of vindication to federal law enforcement in a case filled with public setbacks.
the men went on “reconnaissance missions” to the home, how they accumulated high-powered guns and how they discussed blowing up a bridge to prevent the police from responding to the kidnapping.
The case was seen as indicative of the rising threat of political violence and right-wing domestic terrorism, even before the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. But proving the charges in Michigan meant persuading jurors to trust a sprawling F.B.I. investigation that included several undercover federal operatives.
In the first trial this spring, jurors acquitted two other men and deadlocked on the charges against Mr. Croft and Mr. Fox. That result, at a time of growing conservative distrust in the F.B.I., raised questions about the bureau’s investigative tactics, especially their prolific use of informants and undercover agents. But even as those issues remained, the verdicts on Tuesday were seen as a warning against political extremism and a sign that the word of an F.B.I. agent can still carry weight with juries.
“I’m hopeful that this verdict will cause people to think twice before they engage in this kind of domestic terrorism,” said Barbara McQuade, who was the top federal prosecutor in Detroit during Barack Obama’s presidency. She called the jury’s decision “an important victory for the rule of law, for democracy and also for those who care about law enforcement.”
