Failing to win on merit, management, and consensus building they tend to wish for fascist control, to be in a position to dictate by minority to the country, in fact minority dictatorial control to the larger part of their party to keep obstructionist power assured. Remember, the only reason they got rid of McCarthy from the position, (though never leader of that caucus), was because he did not shut down the government and when his caucus refused to be lead due to the minority few and in the end dealt with Democrats to keep the government functioning and continue to pay the bills for money already spent by Republicans and Democrats alike.
