I bought some USO yesterday afternoon. The "cease fire" doesn't appear that it is going to hold. The sharp drop yesterday was a gift.

I'm up 5% alreadyYou posted that today? I would not. Unless you're going to sell it in a day or 2.
Personally, I don't buy individual stocks. If I did oil is way too volatile for me.I bought some USO yesterday afternoon. The "cease fire" doesn't appear that it is going to hold. The sharp drop yesterday was a gift.
I'd have to have Pelosi-level information before considering buying oil.Personally, I don't buy individual stocks. If I did oil is way too volatile for me.

Even with Pelosi level information, I probably wouldn't. Oil, to me would be a short term play, which means I would either pay taxes or looking for a loss. Currently I'm mostly in Mutuals going through an advisor. Learned my lesson doing 2024 taxes, I was mostly in CD's, and the tax bill was horrendous.I'd have to have Pelosi-level information before considering buying oil.
So do you do Mutual funds, or 401K? There's some good mutual fund guys out there.
That's who I learned from, on a field trip, in jr. high.![]()
I have a pretty unique investment style. I'm "anchored" with corporate bonds - 75% roughly - but trade on the remaining 25%. I have often flipped a stock within a couple of days after buying it. I will probably hold USO for at least another few days, because no matter what Iran/U.S negotiate - it doesn't look like Israel is going to cooperate. No reason for oil to come back down.OOoOoooooOO
5% on how much?
I say you're flirting with disaster.
You gonna sell at the end of the day?
Tomorrow? Tomorrow would probably be peak, but don't listen me about that, you do you.
I'll give you a reason for oil to come back down: Venezuelan oil is flowing into Louisiana to be processed.I have a pretty unique investment style. I also bought some IHAK earlier this week. Cybersecurity is a great short term and long term play.
And unless you sold it, you're right back where you bought it at the end of the day.I'm up 5% already
