Humans have the ability to travel great distances in space. You just need a giant ship full of fuel and food and a lot of people. The only problem is, the people who originally embarked on the journey will be dead before they reach it, but their descendants will make it there.
The interesting thing is though, it would take a couple thousand years to get to an habitable planet in a nearby solar system, so you would see empires rise and fall on this ship before it reached its destination. Their culture would change dramatically from the culture they once had on Earth. They would be unrecognizable to us back home.

you dont think eventually man will discover that we dont know everything about science and discover new ways to do things?...i mean some one back in the 1800's never thought we would be just were we are now...Susskind went into the physical effects prolonged languishing in space would have on the human body.
The astronauts from the space station evidenced that.

if man wants to go into space he will find a way...Biology always gets you in the end.
Unless they find a way to manipulate that.
There’s an answer to that.
But l won’t.![]()

i bet in 1840 they thought flying in an airplane, putting a rover on Mars was a pipe dream too...I won't deny that there are other forms of technologically-advanced life forms out there, but I do agree that interstellar travel is a pipe dream.
Thank God for that. There are already enough creepy things on this earth that bite, sting, and try to eat us.

It's the big Disclosure that they are fighting about right now .
Something remarkable will have to happen ( bad) for this not to have occurred in the next 20 months and likely this year .
Mentally archive that assertion and see how it fares .
I regret to tell you ( my word only, obviously) that they are as real as you and I and that there are "good" and "bad "ones and our planet is essentially a Prison that the Good Ones wish to open .
Farsight.org could help you.
You might ask who is going to help me !! but Time will show, without that type of Help .
You can make artificial gravity through inertia, which would solve that issue. Im sure that youve seen those future ship designs with a giant spinning wheel.Susskind went into the physical effects prolonged languishing in space would have on the human body.
The astronauts from the space station evidenced that.
Of course. Simple aerodynamics and jet propulsion are well within the boundaries of physics and universal natural laws. But keeping living beings alive 20,000 years to even travel to the nearest star is a bit of a stretch of the imagination. Even with cryogenics or suspended animation, one would develop one hell of a freezer burn.

[It] might be assumed that the flying machine which will really fly might be evolved by the combined and continuous efforts of mathematicians and mechanicians in from one million to ten million years... No doubt the problem has attractions for those it interests, but to the ordinary man it would seem as if effort might be employed more profitably.
