But try to think this through, logically.
There was just 3 weeks before the Convention, where the Candidate must be known,
Or
There is a convention pick for candidates to just throw their hats in to and the delegates with candidates, duke it out, on the convention floor.
-a Primary could not be conducted in just 3 weeks
-How would the Candidates even be picked, for them to be candidates at the convention, for the delegates to vote on???
-Let's say, they figured that above hickup out and there were candidates for delegates to vote for, and they go through round by round of voting elimination....
This can lead to infighting, and an un-unified delegation and of the Democratic party citizenry....the voters.
Any which way but lose, the later proposal of picking a candidate is the riskiest!!
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY it still would not involve the citizens having a Primary and making the nominee pick, which 3 weeks time, was impossible to do...., the presidential candidate pick, would still be done by the Democratic Party delegates and not, We The People.....and with the chance of chaos and division.
I think there wasn't really another option, but VP Harris, with only the 3 weeks left, before the Convention.
