The DNC picks the nominee for POTUS, not the people. Do you really think the DNC wanted Kamala? They wanted Biden but couldn't have him.

Yes, when picked as VP I believe the DNC thought they could foist her on the people. They were wrong just the same as they were with Hillary.
Before the debate they were asking if there was a way to get rid of kamala...after Trump utterly destroyed biden at the debate (2 mod's & biden Vs. Trump)...The MSM wanted joe gone! They were in hysterics.
Then when joe endorsed kamala they shifted & kamala became the medias little darling. They thought they could force/order/reprimand/name call the public into voting for her. They thought wrong!

Apparently, Joe Biden picked Kamala to replace him as a way to stick up his middle finger at Pelosi and Obama who wanted Joe removed from the DNC nomination.
Neither of them wanted Harris for obvious reasons.
All I can say is, when I saw Joe shake hands with Trump in the Oval Office after the election, there was not a happier man in all of Washington DC.

Does anyone NOT think Vance will be the nominee in 2028?
The only two who didn't get the nomination were Dan Quayle (who was a national joke) and Mike Pence (who was a heretic who refused to pray to Orange Jesus.)
No one else was really in a position to step in and take over the nomination without either a convention floor fight or a question about whether they were entitled to the money Biden had already raised.
Now, I will blame Biden for not stepping aside a lot sooner, like before the primaries. But Monday Morning Quarterbacking is always foolish.

Obama picked his VP on the basis that he was no threat to ever upstage him. Bidet did the same. They saddled themselves with an unimpressive and uninspiring DEI hire and when the time came they were stuck. Had they replaced her the revolt would have been epic.
