Jobless Claims in U.S. Fall to Match Lowest Level Since 1973

Jobless claims fall, because after a year of joblessness you are no more eligible to claim. What is so mysterious about this?
The mystery is why you think that's true. And we're talking about initial claims.
Well, then there is no difference, at least mathematically. This means that there can be only so many initial claims as the number of employees in the country. Once you have fired all of them, there will not be any more initial claims, so you can report an economic recovery. Good enough?
Except we have more people employed now than at any time in history: Total Employment (seasonally adjusted)

And there were 115.8 million full time jobs when Bush left office and there are 121.8 million FT jobs now, that is 6 million more,

ah but there are 18 million more in the working age group now thus making this the worst recovery since the Great Depression. Anti business policies didn't work in East Germany or Red China and they don't work in America!!

That's a surprise only to liberals who are naturally stupid and anti science!!

And it is no surprise that you are STILL lying!

When Obama started there were 154,210,000 working age civilians in the labor force and there are 156,715,000 now, hardly 18 million.

Ratio of Part-Time Employed Remains Higher Than the Pre-Recession Levels

Let's take a close look at Friday's employment report numbers on Full and Part-Time Employment. Buried near the bottom of Table A-9 of the government's Employment Situation Summary are the numbers for Full- and Part-Time Workers, with 35-or-more hours as the arbitrary divide between the two categories. The source is the monthly Current Population Survey (CPS) of households. The focus is on total hours worked regardless of whether the hours are from a single or multiple jobs.

The dishonesty never ends with you.

Most PT workers ONLY want PT work. The number working PT who want FT work has gone DOWN since Obama started from 8,046,000 in Jan 2009 to 6,036,000 now, a decline of 2 million.

Try to deceive again, sucker.

Except in America, where they fire mostly, only. :).
maybe; why should labor have to care what capitalists do, if labor is able to apply for unemployment compensation, simply for being unemployed on an at-will basis?
This is exactly it. Capitalism is based on turning everything into externality, hence generating profits. Labor or loss of labor is just another one of those externalities. So, logically, a labor that is lost, will not care what capitalism does. Capitalism results in the last guy standing syndrome, at the end of its consolidation. Only basic science and derivative technology investment can move things forward from that point. Both of these are always halted by centralized power. At will unemployment is then an expected standard, indistinguishable from externalized loss of labor.

In our US case, it could also lower our Tax burden through simplification of Government.

I totally agre. Currently, the US tax system is mostly earned income based, not sales, so the fewer people earn an income, the less tax revenue remains to finance an omnipotent central government. Too bad, they will drop every government function that exists except tax collections, even if there are no tax payers left.

actually socialism slowly starved 120 million to death so few were left standing, but when they switched to capitalism all stood up and most are now getting rich!! Communism consolidated into one central deadly govt whereas capitalism has deconsolidated into 50 million separate companies and riches for all.

Daniel is a retarded liberal who speaks english as a third language. What other conclusion is possible?

Half of this may be true, so we can look at it like this. Capitalism leads to consolidation. Consolidation ensures socialism. Socialism ensures mass murder and genocide, which eventually lead back to free competition and capitalism. Seems swing like.

. Capitalism leads to consolidation. .

America now has 40 million corporations, the world 150 million. Does not seem like consolidation actually. Sorry to rock your world.
The currently ongoing American consolidation has now brought the USA closer to the soviet system than it was ever before. US liquidation rate has steady been increasing whilst incorporation rate decreasing ever since Ronald Reagan. The long term trends are clear, and not a surprise, even if the absolute momental numbers may look high.

yes 40 million corporations is consolidation for sure!! See why we say the liberal will be stupid?? What other conclusion is possible??
Yes. I know that liberals are not the brightest sharpies in the pants. But are you saying that we are only imagining all those shops in every industry that existed a few decades ago but now don't? Every industry has its Walmart in a shape of form, I tell you even used car dealers will be consolidated by something like that, as they already are on their way. Consolidation is a straight mathematical consequence of free market competition.

100% stupid libtard since we have had capitalism for 200 years and we still have millions and millions of corporations.

The computer started with IBM and mushroomed in a 1000 directions leaving IBM in the dust!!! Feel stupid now??

Hehehe, no. Technology is one of the key elements of the process, but not they way you think. It consolidates too. Only the derivatives are offset. No wonder that the newest technologies are invented more in China, Russia, Australia, India, and even African countries, compared to the number of recent American ideas.
