ObamaCare is not an insurance company. Who's the patient's insurer? Ask them.
As I never posted against folks having health insurance, and President Ronald Reagan made certain that every person in the nation...citizen or not....had health care....perhaps you'd care to answer:
Is that drug that saved Carter available to those covered under ObamaCare?
Dear
PoliticalChic and
Arianrhod
OK let's quit using "ObamaCare" if that is causing confusion for literalists.
Can we ask if FREE MARKET beliefs in health care are
protected equally under the ACA mandates written, imposed and enforced by people with biased beliefs in the right to health care,
while EXCLUDING and PENALIZING citizens who don't.
This is like asking is the belief in RIGHT TO CHOOSE protected
equally under "right to life legislation" .
No, Free Market choices are now penalized under the ACA.
Opponents would be attacked if they passed tax laws penalizing free choice by pushing Right to Life through federal govt 'as the law of the land' the way liberals are pushing Right to Health Care as a nationalized belief. Can we please have a President, a Supreme Court, and a leader in Congress who understands POLITICAL BELIEFS, so these can all be treated equally, even if that means keeping them out of govt.
You'll need to start another thread about this. PoliticalChic has now done what they always do...turn every thread into a rant about communism. Watch and see.
Dear
Arianrhod Everywhere it's the same.
Might as well further the conversation here as anywhere else.
You seem to be a reasonable person, able to focus on points and principles
and not get sidetracked with too much personal emotional stuff that comes out as part of the process.
Why not just discuss it here?
Once people get used to actually being heard and taken seriously,
of course that opens the door to deeper discussion.
Just keep on keeping on. Talk with people respectfully as you always do with me.
The other barriers will go away, as long as we keep voting on the side of on point discussion.
You can have the conversation anywhere,
just address the person with respect and ask open ended questions
that encourage dialogue.
Thanks I think you are better at this than even I am,
so please don't get discouraged by some of the nonsense that comes with the territory.
We are talking about politics, about deep rooted political and religious beliefs embedded
in people's perception and language, so of course it is going to be challenging.
People are going to get personal, and respond on the defensive, until we gain a better
sense of accepting each other as we are and working with what we have and what we believe.
Let's just deal with that, as naturally what goes on, and not discount it as negative
when that's just how we as committed individuals
are going to process very high pressured conflicting issues.
You do really well in responding consistently level headed;
keep up the excellent posts and responses,
and you'll see it will get better as we go. Thanks for adding
your contributions to these discussions and to the forum in general.
Every little bit helps!
