The Bible has an interesting history, people rarely think how it came to be, how various disparate literature was collected and compiled into a single "Bible". For centuries different sacred texts were used by different churches and there was little agreement.
There are many texts not included in today's Bible but were once staple material in some churches in some geographic regions, there is a lot of literature about Jesus not included in our Bibles but who decides what is and is not inspired?

So there's never been unanimity over which books are relevant never mind which
interpretation of those books is "correct".
Personally I avoid organized church groups, most of them have some kind of statement of beliefs and I've never seen a set of those that I completely accept nor do I think it is necessary.
Some things are unclear and we should not make up weird interpretations in an attempt to make them clear.
For example the Trinity is a very interesting subject, the Bible itself doesn't even use that word yet for many Christians it is heresy to deny the modern concept of the trinity yet there are numerous NT passages that are not reconcilable with the concept of the trinity.
