LOL How much are we going to spend each year for extreme weather disasters? The people that insure homes have already decided that there are places where they cannot insure homes because the chances of the destruction of those homes because of the weather extremes is simply too high. And it is going to get much worse. Now, because of economics, we are seeing renewables being 90% of the new generation in 2024. And in unsubsidized dollars, renewable, solar and wind, are far less costly to install and maintain, even with storage.

What the **** is the problem with warm weather? Hmmmmmmmm.................. 116 in Portland, Oregon a couple of years ago. 121 in a little town in BC, Canada that same day. The next day that town burned down. Forest fires that are measured in square miles, sometimes hundreds of square miles in the US, Canada, Russia, and Australia. So what is the problem with warm weather? Many billions of dollars in damages and lost human lives. But those do not matter to the imbeciles on the right.

China is presently #1 CO2 emitter, we are #2. And China is already well ahead of it's proposed replacement of fossil fuel generation with renewables. In fact they are ahead of where their goal was for 2030. It is entirely possible that by 2040 we will reclaim the #1 position as the world's biggest polluter.

Really stupid statement. The fossil fuel generators only last about 20 years before they need a total replacement or rebuild. And it is far less costly to shut them down and replace them with renewables and storage, than to maintain them. That is why in the USA last year 90% of new generation was renewables.
