Adam Schiff, perhaps the greatest American Statesman who has ever lived, said you do not put sanctions on Russia before they invade because then you cant after they invade.

Seems to me that Ukraine could have given up some of their eastern areas THAT ARE RUSSIAN SYMPATHETIC and avoided war.

That is a big mistake. Xi will take his pound of flesh.

The new battle is to get the Ukrainian grains to market before they spoil. That may require NATO naval forces to escort ships into and out of Ukraine's southern ports.

The Ukrainians are getting adequate military support, Russia can't win militarily.
When will Putin see that his economy can't take a long war?
