of course, he constantly insisted that NATO owed him (or the United States) money, and talked about NATO as if he is a gangster running a protection racket.
He's right, the EU needs to fund their own defense.
That Trump endorsed the Russian invasion of Ukraine
Liar.
repeatedly tried to block aid
How much military aid did Obama give them? Was it zero?
Trump will do what Putin tells him to do. he always has.
When did Putin tell him to stop Nord Stream 2?
I love it when the Cult parrots easily debunked lies.
Trump did not say that NATO needs to fund it own defense. Trump said NATO owed the USA billions of dollars. That's was a big fat ******* lie, and the NATO leaders laughed in Trump's face.
NATO doesn't need to spend more money on military equipment. The USA needs to spend LESS., The ONLY reason that Trump is pushing for NATO nations to re-arm, is because the USA is the primary world supplier of military weapons.
The world is not safer if our nations have more weapons. Au contraire. Every time a nation invests in more modern weapons, well, you gotta put them to good use (Gulf Wars, I and II).
The Ukrainian government during the Obama Administration was not the Ukrainian government of the Trump/Biden era. In 2012, when Russian first took over the Crimea, there was some belief that Russia needed the Baltic seaports, and there was a referendum. But in 2014, when Putin's little green men invaded, a corrupt, a corrupt Russian puppet government was in power, and Obama was not giving that bunch money.
Remember the Burisma story: The prosecutor filed charges to shake down Burisma. Burisma paid the bribe, and shortly thereafter hired Hunter Biden. When Joe Biden had the prosecutor fired, he went back to Russia, and the investigation of Burisma was completed by the British government, who file no charges.
Burisma was furious that Biden fired the prosecutor because the problem was "handled" as far as they were concerned.
Zelensky was not associated or affiliated in any way with that Ukrainian government. You Cultists talk like that Ukrainian government has been some unchanging monolith since 2012, and not subject to much change, over the past 12 years,
