I knew a guy that had a 5-year plan and he did absolutely nothing socially during that time but fish.

The worked as much OT as possible, had a old car, maxed out his 401K and Roth IRA.

This thread was a major triggering event, it has caused much weeping, and gnashing of teeth.

Perhaps that the was objective from the beginning? I can't speak for what the motivations were, only the results that are evident.
