NFL offseason QB math again

He has the tools except for his size. Some reporters have noted he does not study for games.

He did have elite tools out of OU.

Don't think those tools are still "elite" after all the injuries.

It really started late in his rookie year. He looked really good initially. Then he got "planted" by a big ugly on his throwing shoulder. His arm has never been the same.

And yet you think a slightly shorter, weaker armed, QB who's not even on the same planet athletically than Murray is the second best QB in this draft......

Comical.

Don't agree with that. Pavia has a strong arm, and is a thickly built tough guy, thicker built than Kyler. Pavia is not the athlete Kyler was out of OU. Pavia won't be an NFL "running QB" like Kyler was. But Pavia has a stronger and better arm than Kyler does now.

Pavia wont be in the NFL. And no Pavia does not have a stronger arm than Kyler.

Also Kyler Murray and Diego Pavia are the same height and weight.

Assuming you use the combine stats and not what Pavia identifies as. (6' 230)

You think Sam Darnold has a strong arm and you offered STAT PARROTING as evidence because you don't know a strong arm when you see one...

Actually what I said was he’s good at throwing the ball down field, and then used statistics to show that what I said was true. I said that in response to you saying Darnold was only good at short passes and couldn’t push the ball down the field. I know providing evidence for your takes is foreign to you but it’s a common practice.

Twisting word.

Sam Darnold does not have a strong arm. He doesn't have elite accuracy. He doesn't have a quick throwing motion or release. He is a perfectly average QB in many ways.

Your definition of "strong arm" is "he completed some long passes."

No accurately stating what was actually said.

Again I never said Sam Darnold had the strongest or even a top 10 arm in the NFL. FYI the NFL is not a contest to see who can throw the ball the furthest. Who cares if a QB can throw the ball to the moon if he cant complete the passes he throws to his receivers?

Arm strength, just strength of 4 QBs

1. Rattler
2. Pavia
3. Kyler Murray
4. Darnold

Accuracy of 4 QBs

ditto

LOL. You are such a clown.

1,2 not NFL starters

3,4 starter and SB champion.

So apparently winning in the NFL is increased when you have a weak armed inaccurate QB.

Clown show

LOL!!!

Trent Dilfer
Jeff Hostetler
Brad Johnson
Sam Darnold

four middling average QBs who won Super Bowls... because the other 44 players on the team had nothing to do with it according to you...

It's so odd that he's so good and yet has never lived up to the hype. (your hype)
Many of the best QBs don't have the best arms or the quickest releases. Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees.. the ability to lead, read defenses, throw receivers open (as opposed to hitting targets already open) are things to look for. Drew Allar (I say this as a Penn St fan) won't make it ... probably for the same reason Christian Hackenberg couldn't "hack it"..

All four of those QBs had quick releases. Brees' arm strength/range improved after his shoulder was sewn up by Dr. James Andrews the offseason he signed with NO.

While I would not classify Montana, Brady, or Brees with a truly strong arm, they always seemed to be able to "get it there" when needed. Peyton had a strong arm, with IND not Den.

You mean like Darnold? 😂

Peyton had a strong arm, with IND not Den.
Manning had average arm strength maybe slightly above. He was never considered a “strong armed” QB.

We just went over your tape for 7 of his "highlight throws" and 5 or so were off target or underthrown...

Sam Darnold is four levels beneath the four we just discussed.

No one said Darnold was an all time great retard. But he is good at getting the ball down field. That’s just objectively true, the statistics bear that out. He lead the league by a wide margin 2 years ago and was top 5 this year in that category. I don’t understand why you hold on to these takes when it’s shown you’re just wrong.

The two point play Seattle had that was ruled dead and they ended up getting two points most likely sealed the Rams fate as they would have had home field.

Ok. What’s that have to do with this conversation?
