Iran demands to end the war

Selling the war to the populace doesn't help if the war is not successful and if it is successful, it will become popular.
If the mullahs could be overthrown by the protesters there would be a cry of Joy from Iranians all over the world.

Problem is like Iraq they are cannon fodder at the moment

Key Iranian Demands and Positions:
  • Permanent End to Conflict: Iran demands a permanent ceasefire rather than temporary pauses, as stated by Foreign Minister Araghchi.
  • Security Guarantees: A primary demand is a guarantee against further aggression, including ensuring the war does not resume.
  • Lifting of Sanctions: Iran has insisted on the removal of all primary and secondary sanctions.
  • Strait of Hormuz Control: Iran seeks recognition of its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, including the right to impose tolls on ships.
  • Financial Reparations: Iran is demanding compensation for damages and war losses, often described as reparations.
  • Regional Withdrawal: A key demand includes the withdrawal of U.S. military forces from the region.
  • Protection of Allies: Ending Israeli strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon is included in the reported 10-point proposal.

Seems that in spite of our Presidents claims that we are close to an agreement with Iran to end hostilities, we are not even close.

Trump has started a war that he doesn’t know how to get out of

Iran demands an end to the war because the naval blockade is working.

Any day now

Gas is up to $4.30
We needed to get Iran before they got us good. Waiting for them to become an "imminent" threat only means that when they did get us it would be really bad. It was better to get them now before it got to that point. In fact, it should have been done long ago.

Iran has a weapon more powerful than an Atomic bomb

Shutting down the Strait of Hormuz
It does more damage to the west

Are they stomping their foot and crying about it all?

Well....
UAE just left OPEC. Their oil ought to be hitting the market in a week or so.
Watch the price fall out the bottom.....they got a pipeline next to Oman that doesn't care about the Straight of Hormuz. It's coming and Iran's oil is going to end up stuck in the ground.

US people demand end to the war.

War is a very serious business and voters should be concerned. This war can only be validated by forcing the ayatollahs to end all enrichment activity and get rid of all equipment associated with it, end the production of offensive missiles, end their claim that they control the Strait of Hormuz and end their support of their Arab proxies wreaking havoc across the ME.

The value of a war can only be determined by its outcome.

Trump hasnt made a compelling argument for the war.
  • Less that year ago he said Iran's program was decimated
  • Then he launched an attack with varying justifications
    • Save the Iranian people
    • They were about to attack Israel
    • They suddenly didnt have a decimated nuclear program
    • Regime change
    • Open the strait
  • Then he said it would be a short few weeks of a war
  • Now he still hasnt settled on a justification or a goal and has a undetermined timeline
Hard to support such a flippant way to address what you 100% are right about: War is very serious business.

Trump has claimed victory since day one

Given that the theocratic regime remains in power, in possession of its nuclear materials, and in control of the price of gas internationally, it sounds as if Trump's surrender is very complete.

He can now stop making the U.S. taxpayer squander over a billion dollars a day on his "little excursion", and start making them pay for his very incomplete triumphal arch and his very incomplete glitzy ballroom.

You see, MAD doesn't work if Iran has no nukes. What is it you don't understand.
Actually, MAD doesn't work even if Iran has little amount of nukes.
And to acquire more or less Credible First Strike Capability (capability to attack the USA and survive after it) one needs at least 800 precise and fast nukes, capability to blind US sats and radars, capability to find and destroy at least few US submarines, ABD good enough to intercept some survived warheads, and civil defence to save civilians.
Nobody but Russia posses that capability, and even for Russia it's gambling, like a Russian roulette.

Looks like Iran read Trump's "The Art of the Deal".

If Trump, when emulating the Empire of Japan's surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, had accurately stated the cost of his "little excursion" with Bibi, that Iran's ultra-conservative regime would retain power and its nuclear capability, and it would exercise its ability to drive the worldwide cost of oil up substantially for who-knows-how-long, would even his cult of lickspittles chortle at his declaring

You have an amazing grasp of the obvious.
