Iran demands to end the war

The clock is ticking
Election in six months and gas prices through the roof and a cranky electorate

Trump is looking for a quick resolution and Iran does not appear to be playing his game
Iran is effectively under siege, leftist tardo. :rolleyes-41:
You know what's happening in China right now?
Gas lines and rationing like in 1970s America.
Only this time OPEC is with America and not with Iran and China.
America + OPEC + South America = Global oil domination.
That's how this is going. We have the best things, it is what it is.

So was Vietnam and Afghanistan

Iran really holds no cards, brah. The only cards they hold is arab invaders murdering and raping the Persian locals, and there will be something to stop that nonsense.
Whether it's JDAMS or drone strikes, or something else, they will be ended.
That kinda shit doesn't belong on planet Earth, no matter what country it's in.
It's anti-human being.

The Taliban respects Trump. You know that, right?
He still knows where they live and could kill them any given day.
And they know that and are men of their word, at least.
They did not attack any Americans for over a year until Biden fucked things all up.
And even then, it wasn't them, it was ISIS that slipped through Taliban security.
It was 13 US service personnel and like almost 100 Afghanis killed that day.

Key Iranian Demands and Positions:
  • Permanent End to Conflict: Iran demands a permanent ceasefire rather than temporary pauses, as stated by Foreign Minister Araghchi.
  • Security Guarantees: A primary demand is a guarantee against further aggression, including ensuring the war does not resume.
  • Lifting of Sanctions: Iran has insisted on the removal of all primary and secondary sanctions.
  • Strait of Hormuz Control: Iran seeks recognition of its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, including the right to impose tolls on ships.
  • Financial Reparations: Iran is demanding compensation for damages and war losses, often described as reparations.
  • Regional Withdrawal: A key demand includes the withdrawal of U.S. military forces from the region.
  • Protection of Allies: Ending Israeli strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon is included in the reported 10-point proposal.

Seems that in spite of our Presidents claims that we are close to an agreement with Iran to end hostilities, we are not even close.

Trump has started a war that he doesn’t know how to get out of

tick-tick-tick-tick-tick

But a cute post, nonetheless.

The Strait of Hormuz is one helluva card

Trump hasnt made a compelling argument for the war.
  • Less that year ago he said Iran's program was decimated
  • Then he launched an attack with varying justifications
    • Save the Iranian people
    • They were about to attack Israel
    • They suddenly didnt have a decimated nuclear program
    • Regime change
    • Open the strait
  • Then he said it would be a short few weeks of a war
  • Now he still hasnt settled on a justification or a goal and has a undetermined timeline
Hard to support such a flippant way to address what you 100% are right about: War is very serious business.
The reasons for the war and the goals of the war are clear, so why do you pretend they are not?

Then please explain.
Why do you want to continue to pretend you don't know the reasons or goals of the war? Is it that you can't provide any serious objections to the war?

Ok, just this once I'll pretend you are a serious poster and not just a heckler.

The main goal of the war is to prevent the Ayatollahs from ever being able to produce nuclear weapons by forcing them to give up all enrichment and get rid of all associated equipment.

In addition, the ayatollahs must stop producing offensive missiles.

The ayatollahs must give up their claim to control the Strait of Hormuz.

The reason for the war is that the ayatollahs have flat out refused to negotiate on any of these key demands.

How did we decimate their entire program a year ago only to find ourselves in a spot where they are seconds from bombing us or Israel with a nuke? How are we not going to be another year from them being in the same place if it is that easy to build up their capabilities like they did in the last year?

If that is the goal then this is a protracted war of month/years with troops on the ground. You cant be sure that they are clear of nukes without feet on the ground inspections which will require them to be utterly defeated with ground troops. That isn the picture Trump sold. He said we have virtually won. We won 12 times. How can we be near winning if we aren’t near any of the goals you laid out?
