I can see utility in this if they are trying to determine if a medication taken as prescribed is not working as opposed to someone claiming they are taking it as they are supposed to. It could also be paired with an app to remind people, especially seniors, to take their pills.

They're proud of what they're doing, it is called advancing medical technology for the benefit of all of us. Medication adherence is a common issue. A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2005 revealed that up to 50 per cent of the time, patients don’t take their medication. This not only prolongs the treatment and increases healthcare costs but it also leads to poor health outcomes. In the US, for instance, poor medication adherence is responsible for 10 per cent of hospitalisations and 125,000 deaths.

When my father-in-law was elderly he felt he knew best what meds he should take and which he shouldn't but never told anyone. He didn't know best and spent the last few years of his shortened life in a wheelchair.

You're lessening the effects. Do you work for a drug company? The pill would give the doctors more info which the pill sends to your phone and your phone sends to the doctor. It also would give the drug cos more info on how to sell more drugs to you and other ways to advertise to you and influence you. They would know your location, too.

They monitor when you take your meds or how you're doing before your transplant...and if you don't do as you're told...what can they do then. Stop your pace maker? deny your transplant...how 'bout shut your transplant off. shock you into submission? stop your heart? i can think of any number of things to get you to comply. THE GUY SAID>>>COMPLIANCE. If i don't want to take that medication? what then? GO. SIGN UP FOR IT..and give up your own Body autonomy.

While I agree this technology is terrifying, the vast majority of Americans already carry around welded to their hip the ultimate government tracking device and do it voluntarily: the cellular phone. When paired with cell site simulators carrying around a cell phone means there's nowhere to hide and no secrets kept from the government.
