Faith is perfect? What does that have to do with being saved and secure in your salvation?, "not even yourself:" you sure about that?

“Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, ‘I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!’” (verse 24).
Upon hearing the man’s request, “I believe; help my unbelief!” Jesus immediately spoke to the unclean spirit and permanently cast it out of the boy. Later, Jesus’ disciples inquired why they were unable to cast the demon out. Jesus told them, “This kind can come out only by prayer” (Mark 9:29).
I am not arrogant enough to say that my Faith is perfect. God knows ME; I pray that I am in His hands.

My Dad only enetered a church for weddings, funerals and some major Feast Days; he was Eastern Orthodox. But a stronger man of Faith I would be hard pressed to find.

Lord Jesus, St. Thomas doubted Your resurrection until he touched Your wounds. After Pentecost, You called him to become a missionary in India, but he doubted again and said no. He changed his mind only after being taken into slavery by a merchant who happened to be going to India. Once he was cured of his doubt, You freed him and he began the work You had called him to do. As the patron saint against doubt, I ask him to pray for me when I question the direction in which You are leading me. Forgive me for mistrusting You, Lord, and help me to grow from the experience. Saint Thomas, pray for me. Amen.
For Architects, Builders and Carpenters
Dear St. Thomas, you were once slow in believing that Christ had gloriously risen; but later, because you had seen him, you exclaimed: "My Lord and my God!" According to an ancient story, you rendered most powerful assistance for constructing a church in a place where pagan priests opposed it. Please bless architects, builds and carpenters that through them the Lord may be honored. Amen.

Jesus IS God. I may ask the saints to pray for me as I would ask YOU to pray for me, with the same expectations. But my BASIC Prayer is "Lord I believe; help my unbelief".Pray to Jesus. He is the only mediator between God and man.
It is by FAITH that we are saved old son. That does not mean we can assume that our FAITH is going to save us if we lose it. lolFaith is perfect? What does that have to do with being saved and secure in your salvation?
