Attempting to spread the fake narrative on violence over a MAGA family kid going wayward and shooting someone (again). Now we get 2 maga marines shooting up people and suddenly… “Let’s lower the temperature. These are not political.”

I say **** you.

The only thing “political” about the Kirk shooter or the Trump shooter was that the victims are liked by a political group. Neither maga shooter had any ties to politics. They were teen boys brought up in maga gun friendly households that got sad and shot someone famous.

Meanwhile it is open season on liberals and kids… again. We welcome your thoughts and prayers.

I remember how good it felt to get free of the dog fear pheromone. I was always so scared of dogs until my brother got a boxer whom I just fell in love with. Once you've loved a dog, it's so much easier to not fear dogs. When I see one approach, I remember that thing about not looking them in the eye, and I find the dog-love zone and we're good.

I've had four different mail carriers since I moved across the country, and three have been deep dog lovers. When the newest one showed up, I was only looking out of the corner of my eye -- knew it was the mail carrier but it didn't hit me in that part of a second that it was a new person, so I was not careful about controlling my little 12 pound dog. All the old carriers adored my dog.

Anyway, she shot out the door and started barking, and set off his fear hormones, and she saw a chance for some fun and went to sniff his ankles, and he kicked her. Turns out that nobody in town likes him, but the post office won't fire him or relocate him. Bummer. He's always got a scowl, even though I now retain good control on the little beast.

Although I got dogs, I'm still pretty terrified of horses.

I guess as a moderator I see more of those posts and stuff than other people do. Maybe I'm reading into it, but for some people, justice and vengeance are one in the same.

If you see that the murderer should be held accountable under the law, that is not vengeance. That is indeed justice. I would be horrified if he was not tried in a court of law even though I don't have to hate him and don't hate him. He did a terrible thing and it is right that he face the consequences for that.

It is natural and normal for people to be angry and lash out at such violence, such indefensible senseless killing.

But even if they have hate in their heart now, give them time to work it out. They aren't organizing lynching parties or otherwise suggesting the legal system should not be allowed to work. They are allowing the system to work. If you can forgive the killer try forgiving those who aren't yet able to do that.

“Retribution” is one of the lawful bases for sentencing a criminal, albeit the State of NY does not use that word explicitly.
