I'm discouraged.

I'm discouraged to see people giving in to their base hatred over political violence. I was raised to forgive, not forget. I was told, "Don't be that which you hate," yet I see it happening everywhere these days. This hyperpolarized political atmosphere is robbing us all of our humanity. Lots of people are seemingly sacrificing their highest morals for the most basest forms of hatred.

Am I naive? Perhaps. Am I old school? Yes! I wasn't raised to repay barbarity with barbarity.
Whew. I thought you were going to say you’re discouraged with the mod duties - it isn’t easy, I’d imagine - and I came on to give you a pep talk!

Since it’s not that, I’ll speak to your point. I get what you mean. I always was raised to be kind, polite, mindful of others’ feelings, and I often bit my tongue a lot.

But I have received such hate from the other side - mostly on this forum, but occasionally in real life too - that I’ve developed an angry and aggressive side. I feel, though, that it’s needed to fight back and dispel the false accusations going around.

I had hoped, in my naĆÆvetĆ©, that after Trump won, the leftists would realize that people do not want to pursue their woke agenda and ratchet it down. But what has happened is the opposite - they’ve become more hateful. The new low was the cheering over Charlie Kirk’s murder and the continued lies about him.

It can be very depressing. But on the bright side, it could have been much worse. (Kamala.)

Despite my wishes, wants, or insistences, I think the time for discovery has passed. The time for talking ended the moment the bullet ended Kirk's life that day.

It appears nobody is interested in that anymore. I guess I will be in the minority from now on.
Why do you think nobody is interesting in that anymore? As tragic as Charlie Kirk's murder was, the nation, the whole world actually, grieved his passing and paid tribute and that continues in various ways as TPUSA becomes ever more well known and is expanding.

But we cannot mourn even the great in perpetuity. We pay our last respects, learn and benefit from a great legacy that is left behind, carry it forward with us, but we must move on just as we do when we lose a beloved family member. The world doesn't stop. Our lives don't stop when someone dies.

I am most discouraged with the ongoing indoctrination that is going on right now in academia and in the media.

This is how you get a society like these two examples of children being raised to hate who may not be even old enough to walk and talk

How do you fight this so long as it is allowed to continue?

They are being trained to hate all authority and their country.

About 30% of this nation is set out to harass kill or destroy us led by evil corrupt political hacks. They don't stop, they aren't sorry, as posted early on this thread there is nothing to forgive as they are not sorry and still on warpath laughing mocking. They demand special attention? Time to give them some.

What to do about it? They have to be rounded up and taught the errors of their ways, make amends, apologize and re-integrate. Or be incarcerated or eliminated, those that won't stop. All of them won't at this time as their is no penalty. Like board posters here, the keep trolling nonsense false spew//

Because I see more and more people demanding vengeance.

You need justice, not vengeance.

If you don't implement justice, then things will get even worse.

But that has been the problem in the Swamp as they all point fingers at each other trying to convince us all that the other person is far, far, worse a human being while no one is ever held to account for anything.

What people are demanding vengeance? I am personally not seeing that myself. I saw millions of people who loved Charlie hold prayer vigils, memorials, amazing tributes. I am not seeing those who loved him rioting in the streets or creating chaos. They are lighting candles, posting his best quotes and videos on social media, and trying to carry on his legacy. They are pouring donations into TPUSA to use to carry on his legacy.

It is only the kinds of people who would commit that kind of horrible murder and/or the truly questionable types who applauded/cheered/approved of/justified that kind of evil violence that deserve our contempt.

Dis you? I suggest you start with the man in the mirror.

I guess as a moderator I see more of those posts and stuff than other people do. Maybe I'm reading into it, but for some people, justice and vengeance are one in the same.

We just went through a week of right wing nuts lying about the state of liberals in this country. Attempting to spread the fake narrative on violence over a MAGA family kid going wayward and shooting someone (again). Now we get 2 maga marines shooting up people and suddenly… ā€œLet’s lower the temperature. These are not political.ā€

I say **** you.

The only thing ā€œpoliticalā€ about the Kirk shooter or the Trump shooter was that the victims are liked by a political group. Neither maga shooter had any ties to politics. They were teen boys brought up in maga gun friendly households that got sad and shot someone famous.

Meanwhile it is open season on liberals and kids… again. We welcome your thoughts and prayers.
