If You're Not A Racist Why Do You Have a Problem With People Calling it Out?

Maybe white people just get tired of racism being blamed for everything.

Hey, you know, they have these Asian people, who aren't white.

They don't whine about racism.
Sure they do. They sued Harvard for their racism. And won.

IM2 has a penchant for calling racism if you merely disagree with him on a point about racism or race relations. I got that from my first few exchanges with him after I joined a few years ago and I called him out on it. Since then I've seen others call him out for the same thing.

But my post was in response to something MarcATL said:

"White Americans never considered the(m)selves racists even during the height of racist slavery and Jim Crow days.

To these people, being called racist is worse than actual racism.

That hasn't changed."

It goes without saying that some racists will deny being racist. It also goes without saying that some non-racists will deny being racist. But this apparently has not occurred to Marc.
Are you able to explain why we should look to the group of people who have been historically, unable, unwilling and/or dishonest about their blatant racism, as the barometer of current racism?

Make it make sense.

The entire thing with this racism jazz is so odd.

I was in public school from the early 60 through early 70s, with blacks in our classes and our neighborhoods. Then I went to college in the late 70s, and blacks were not only in the university, but policies nationwide began to favor them over whites. (Remember the Bakke decision?)

Then onto the 80s, when I entered the work force. There was pressure to hire blacks over whites (a hiring manager even told me that I was her first choice but she was under pressure to hire a black), and the pro-black favoritism continued for the next two decades.

Then come the 2000s, and America elects a black president. There are more blacks in Congress than in decades past.

And then….boom! All of a sudden, the progressives are screaming about racism! Whatever happened? Over the previous 40 years, things were getting better and better - comparing to the early 60s - and one would think there has been no progress at all.

Weird.

Who said anything about "looking to people"? My post specifically addressed what appears to be your ignorance of the fact that there are some non-racist whites. Either you don't know this or you chose to ignore it.

I don't give a loose shit in a high wind who you "look to", just don't pretend there are no non-racist whites out there and furthermore, don't pretend that many allegations of racism are nothing but frivolous, kneejerk reactions and patently false.

"We're mad because you call us racists after we made racist comments and supported a racist for President." "That's why Democrats lost because you called us racists for supporting a racist." "If you just be quiet about it and let us express our racism then we will be OK." "Americans felt alienated by Democrats calling them racists, but Americans don't feel alienated by the racist comments made by politicians, pundits, and individuals." This is the logic we are reading in places like this. We are to somehow cater to or change the way we react or respond to racism to make those with racist opinions or who support racist politicians comfortable. This is the solution people are proposing to end the racial divide in America.

Who's pretending that?

We are tired of your racism. 249 years of it is enough. '
Then come for us... or try... otherwise... phukk off... your race-baiting and race-card-playing has been largely neutralized...

The time for skin-color games is over... the sooner you come to that realization, the sooner you can learn to be Equal...

Now... stop making excuses about how beat-down you are and get off your dead-a$$ and go make something of yourself...

Yeah it's weird. From my personal experience of being an Air Force dependent for the first 18 years of my life, you have to live amongst people of other races to understand that they're just like you. Occasionally, we would live off base in crackerville, because things were terribly segregated back then. Nice people that couldn't dance at gun point. See DJT.

We are tired of your racism. We don't GIVE A DAMN if you don't like us calling it out. If you don't want to hear it, the solution is simple and it is not the Morgan Freeman method. It's for whites to stop being racistss
What makes you think anyone's going to alter their behavior and beliefs just to assuage your butthurt?

Keep screeching. It changes nothing.

"I'm not a racist but..." - You're racist.

"I'm not racist, some of my best friends are _________(insert race here)". You're racist.

"Why do those people "___________(insert race have to act that way". You're a racist.

"Why do their houses smell funny?" You're a racist.

Face it, you say that you're a racist.
How white leftists see themselves:
white saviour.webp

IM2 must be really old, suffering racism for 249 years. Never mind the last 40 years, when he was an adult, during which blacks got special favoritism for college and grad school admissions, job openings, and promotions - at least in every liberal city in the country.
" at least in every liberal city"

Care to tell everyone which were the liberal cities 40 years ago in 1984? You can't of course so why don't you just admit that you're just another lying maga nazi who's panties get wet when thinking about trump The Rapist.

Based on your response in post 5, you definitely appear to be willing to call people out for racism, based on your personal definition of the word. And you appear to believe that any resentment that results is worth doing so. I'm not sure what your goal is, but you appear to think your approach is working.
Calling people out for racism is another chance for mockery! It's not an insult, it's a joke!

I'm a man and not every white person is called a racist. You right-wingers do not represent, or speak for, white people.
You call everyone who disagrees with you about anything a racist, a poster can agree totally with you for months or years and as soon as he/she disagrees with you about something inconsequential, you immediately turn on them and call them racist, everyone can see, it’s you who are the racist.

You are one funny man, and what's even more hilarious is that you yourself are a white man.

Maybe you should paint your face black and become a leader at your local chapter of the NAACP... 😆 I mean it's not like it hasn't been tried before.

Nice rant though, but Kondor is exactly right, but here you are attempting to stir up racial strife in this country for nefarious reasons, and you keep doing it right on and right on.

I hope that soon Trumps DOJ gets around to people that are knowingly undermining this country in open forums, and if it is found that someone like you are aggressively undermining this country for nefarious reason's, then beware because you might just find yourself in one of those 35,000 extra bed's Trump has ordered for Guantanamo bay.

Like Kondor expressed himself in that retort - "Enough of the lies and bull chit from you leftist".

CNN is on slippery ice also, because it is being revealed constantly now on how disingenuous they truly are, especially when reporting or covering the stories and working the individuals that they interview.

Hate to see any Americans go to jail for unknowingly undermining the security and peace of this nation, but we are now in a place where the lies and secret agendas to undermine this country won't be taken lightly anymore.
IM2 has a right to free speech and we have the right to ridicule him for his asinine opinions.

Nazi, Nazi, Nazi!

These leftists have gone so stark raving mad that now they call you a Nazi (a disgusting insult to Jews who suffered under Hitler) for saying the obvious: competence should be the overriding factor in deciding whom to hire, especially in jobs involving life-or-death decisions.

Not true.

White Americans never considered the selves racists even during the height of racist slavery and Jim Crow days.

To these people, being called racist is worse than actual racism.

That hasn't changed.
Blacks get a free pass on the their inherent racism too.
