It would seem like if you're responsible enough to AUTOMATICALLY be registered for the Selective Service, you can also be AUTOMATICALLY registered to vote.

If you're old enough to qualify to be drafted, it only stands to reason that the nation would entrust you with picking it's leaders who may send you off to war as well.

Here in Canada on our income tax forms it asks if we want the tax people to provide our information to the election people. Check yes and we're registered.

Only if you're a Natural born citizen or legal immigrant with a "Green Card or already a naturalized citizen.

Except only men are drafted. Hence why women shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

Some people don't want to vote. They should not be registered.

one is a statute [mandatory] and the other is a right..."automatic" registration is to deny the option of not registering.

The problem here is that the media and their politicians in Washington felt that the old system [one they previously advocated for] allowed the sons and daughters of the rich and powerful to opt out of military service while the less well-off saw it as a lifeboat...this has/had become abhorrent to them for some reason.

When were you first diagnosed as being retarded?
So, should women also be included in the Selected Service System?
The inclusion of women in the Selective Service System is a topic of significant debate. Currently, only men aged 18 to 26 are required to register. This policy has been challenged, especially after the Department of Defense lifted most restrictions on women serving in the military.
A recent court ruling found the male-only draft unconstitutional, citing the Equal Protection Clause.

The current secretary of defense, Kegsbreath, doesn't think so though.

On the other hand it could be argued that if you are willing to go off and be killed in a foreign country to ensure corporate profits, you might not be all that bright.

What do you know, a resident liberal doesn’t like the idea of registering. Who’d of thunk it.

Many of you guys love all the freedom and luxuries you have but aren’t willing to actually fight for them.

I'm pro-life.

I'm 100% pro 2nd Amendment.

I believe in cutting government to balance the budget.

I fully support the electoral college.

I believe in leaving the Supreme Court at 9

What makes me liberal?

That being pro-life leads me to not support sending people off to die in corporate wars?

None of our recent wars have a thing to do with any of that.

Corporate Wars is just some weird lefits talking point that has nothing to do with Selective Service.

We've had corporations in this country for a very long time and have fought wars with those Corporations often stepping up to the plate in supporting this country.

People who think you sign up and serve for corporate interests aren't too bright and serve someone else's agendas.

Tell me, 20 years, many lost lives and billions (trillions?) of dollars wasted in Afghanistan. What did we accomplish?

Thanks to the left, not much. Of course, we don't have taliban training camps anymore, nor Osama bin Duckin's.

But that is an incompetence of the Congress, and nothing to do with corporate war waged against the US Military.

The Taliban is running Afghanistan. We should have nuked and destroyed them, eh? Wiped them from Earth even though they didn't actually do a thing to us?

To not be a liberal, one has to hate like you?

You sound like other “independents” who throw out all these conservative policies they supposedly support and yet they vote Democrat just about every election. Mac1958 does exactly the same thing. It is very, very strange.
