Same here as long as the ID is fre and registering is infrequent and not burdensome to the voter (once every 10 years or so). I go back and fourth on whether or not to even have that stipulation.... If you vote every election, do you really need to register every 10 years? But if you haven’t voted at all since 2016, I think you should have to re-register. So the middle ground is to force everyone to register and set their voting preferences every 10 years.
