Just another retard claiming we are all racists. Remind us again how the US electorate has all along been wannabe socialist waiting for the right socialist to lead us to the promised land?

You are such a jerkwad, retired. That isn't what I said at all. I asked a question that apparently you are incabaple of answering in a logical or coherent manner.

As for the retard comment, that is about as high a level you get in your discussions.

Apparently your meds don't kick in this early.

I feel sorry for you inability to take on any data that isn't already enshrined in your belief system.

I am saying that race is an issue. Are you denying that it is playing out at all?

As for the socialism and messiah comments that only the right keeps using, shove them up your brain opening orifice.

I think race only matters to the racists... the fringes on both sides who will or will not vote for someone just because of either hatred or revenge or sympathy...

And... whether Obama were white or not... the liberals would still be voting for him.. they'll still blindly support the entitlement mentality or the radical agendas of environmentalism or anti-war or whatever... the right-wingers would still blindly vote for the REP in the same manner... many of the educated and truly moderate do not look at the race of the candidate at all... rather I fully believe they look at the stances and the situations, even if they have different thought and decision outcomes

I agree that those who actually look at the issues will vote along those lines.

My point is that race is still an issue in this country to the extent that were Obama white and doing this well in the debates and the polls, the elections would pretty much be over and the Dems would be measuring the drapes. There still would not be as many so called "undecided" yet.

Glad to hear there are the blind on both sides.

If he were all white, he would not be the Democratic nominee in my opinion and Hillary would be sitting in this position...(I say this because i do believe the black vote would have been more evenly distributed and race would not have been played for him to garner the near entire black vote)

there are alot of answers to the "if he were" type situation and we all have our own "what if" answers....

''What ifs'' are not reality though, and we truely can only deal with what we are handed...

While I agree with the assertion that race is an issue for some ray it is not an issue for everyone. IMO , if a person is black or white or latino it would not matter if they had proposals that people found to be out of touch or harmful. Let's say a single issue voter on the issue of abortion was likely to vote democrat because the platform usually is pro choice but the candidate is black and is pro life then is race an issue? I think not. Now for some that cannot see past it of course it is, however I honestly believe that the average voter is infleunced by many factors, loyality to party, single issues, policies and it would not matter the color of the candidate. So lets take Obama for instance, for many of these types of voters for me at least, I could care less if he had a third eye in the middle of his forehead as long as his policies and proposals made sense and to me they just don't and that is the reason why I won't vote for him. Although, as I mentioned earlier there are a few who won't vote for him because of race. It poses and interesting question though, let me ask you this, do you think if the republican candidate had say been Gen. Powell v. Obama would Chris Matthews then be talking about how black voters traditionally vote democrat? see what I mean?

i am undecided and feel that will pretty much be my state until nov 4th. I will not early vote either. Now does this have to do with obama being black?

my indecision is based upon obama's record and his lack of any real moral codes. His reaction to the rev. wright problem did not impress me. he should have not denied his friend. I have friends that are total racist. I am not going to hang around with them for decades and then deny knowing what they are?

I've said it before and I'll say it again;

BHO is only on the ticket because he's black. A white junior senator with the exact same resume as BHO wouldn't have made it past Iowa.

And Sarah Palin is only on the ticket because she is a woman. A man with the same resume as her would never have been any thought at all.
