Zone1 If "Judeo-Christian" Is Actually TWO Distinct Religions..........

AI Overview

Protestants
honor Mary as the humble, chosen mother of Jesus, a model of faith and obedience, but generally reject Catholic doctrines like the Immaculate Conception, Assumption, and praying to her, emphasizing that Jesus is the sole mediator and salvation comes through Him alone, focusing on her biblical role rather than divine veneration. They view her as a blessed human instrument of God's plan, not divine, and often focus on her humility (Luke 1:38) and her human context as Christ's mother, while holding that she had other children after Jesus.

At my church, we are forming a prayer group to offer reparations to the Blessed Virgin for such blasphemies made against her. We pray this devotion specifically the First Saturdays of five consecutive months, as many times as desired by the parishioner. If you'd like to know more, search "First Saturdays Devotion" on the internet.

My church, a tiny rural parish, is growing almost by the week. Sunday Mass is now standing room only.

Look at the world around us. Art holds LOTs of power over the minds of some people. There's a reason God forbade people from bowing to idols, images, icons, statues, etc. He wants people to go directly to Him. Simply close your eyes and pray directly to Jesus Christ. No necklace, talisman, rabbit's foot, crystal ball, tea leaves, tarot cards, or magic wand is necessary to "help us along." Christ taught us how to pray with the Lord's prayer and please note that His example lacked any sort of physical aid.
Why would I close my eyes? Prayer is part of my life, which can mean when I am right in the middle of something. What I find seems to be a major difference between non-Catholic Christians and Catholics is that many Protestants seem to have the position of, "It's just me and Jesus Christ, alone, by ourselves. No one/nothing else intrudes."

Catholicism taught me that I am part of something much greater, that I am a tiny part of a much greater plan, and God's love cover billions, both the living and those who have passed on. I am a tiny stitch in a magnificent tapestry. Naturally, this tiny stitch does make/take time alone with God, too. Usually, I am walking. I remember once, in the desert...but never mind.

For me--and many Catholics--prayer is much greater than closing one's eyes and saying The Lord's Prayer with just Jesus and me in attendance.

The lords prayer is Jewish

I agree with all you posted, and I thank you for it. There is one 'kind-of-exception'.... :) I love reading and researching those ancient beliefs/multiple gods. There are some great stories.
I totally agree. There is a reason these accounts have stood the test of time. They are amazing. So many layers to pull back. So much wisdom. Very thought provoking.

Very beautifully said.

Actually its defining oneself as minimal nothing useless and without purpose
I take it you have no experiencing with sewing, crocheting, knitting, or quilting? One broken stitch, or badly placed stitched, can unravel the entire creation, or pucker it badly. Each stitch has value and it's own purpose.

Why arent you if you believe in it
That's like asking me why I am not Jewish if I have a menorah or prepare a Seder meal in remembrance of points in Jewish history.

The Lord's Prayer is just one of Jesus' many teachings and information about God, his Father, himself, and salvation history. I am not Jewish because I believe Jesus is One with God, the very Word of God, and has two complete natures, both human and divine. I would not (actually cannot, I'm totally unable) to give up believing and following Jesus Christ and his Way and teachings. They are my life, and made my life the blessing it was meant to be in this Way of salvation.

This is not anything you can understand or even perceive, as you hold no belief in any of it.

Jesus was a Jew why arent you

Jesus was a Jew why arent you
Jesus' arrival on the scene--and his place in Jewish history--has me more attentive to Jewish history than (dare I say) many Jews. What happened to the Ark of the Covenant? What did Simeon say when, shortly after his birth, Jesus was presented at the Temple? How did the Gospel writer, Luke, portray Mary? How did Jesus portray himself? (Recall, in Jewish history, the Bread of the Presence.)

The question is not why I am not Jewish, Judaism as it is now being practiced as it was before Jesus, but why aren't you on this page of your own history? I am merely grafted on/into your history. I am the younger sibling and my older brother is lost. Why did you close your eyes, wander away from your own history? Many of us younger siblings do not know how vital this history is to us, and that its intent is to keep us faithfully glued to Jesus, the Ark, and the Bread of the Presence. Christians ignore the Treasure Trove of Judaism and Jewish history. Some Christians insist that Jews need Jesus. It goes both ways. Christians need Jews just as much as Jews need Jesus. To me, it is both a wonder and a tragedy, that Jews let go of Jesus. The same is true of Christians who let go of their Jewish history. We belong together.

We worship God, no one else--

no heavenly god will be worshiped as all in the heavens are equals - monotheism.

that is the god claimed by the unverified abraham false premonitions worshiped by christianity than the true heavens above that is the intrinsic beliefs of most people than the few hundred and their written 4th century christian bible of forgeries lies and fallacies.

We are empowered to define the meaning in our lives we are not ants in gods ant farm

all living creatures are spiritually equal ...

Then they said, “Let us make life in our image, in our likeness, the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky the livestock and all the wild animals, and all the creatures that move along the ground.”

the true nature of the 1st century events and the repudiation of the prevailing religious anomalies.

None of us are equal we are all individuals
