If capitalism works why are you all getting government handouts ?

Now, as a taxpaying American, I pay on the average in all taxes effectively around 40% of my earned income to the government. If the Government wants to return a small portion of that money to me, I welcome it. I love the idea of being able to keep more of my money...
If every American individual and corporation paid a similar percentage and every US citizen thereby became eligible for free health care and higher education, would you approve?

No,

No, and I'll tell you the reasons why.

1. We are a compassionate country. We believe that those that are down on their luck, or can't work do to circumstances beyond their control should have a helping hand for the betterment of society.

That is a far stretch from those who abuse the system, and try to make living off of that a carreer....

2. I think taxes are too high. Accross the board...I would be much happier if there was a flat tax of say 10% accross all levels of income from $0 up....That's fair, and equal.

This pipe dream of those that have been successful in life should somehow be punished for achieving that success is pure BS.

Look, I render onto Ceaser what is Ceaser's....BUT, I don't think Ceaser needs so much of what I work for.

How? Explain how forced shutting down businesses was good for the economy
Because shutting down the economy was the only way to prevent hospitals and other aspects of medical infrastructure from being swamped with MAGA-virus patients.

Do you honestly believe Americans would have been flocking to bars and malls if hundreds of thousands of their countrymen and women were dying because Trump is too fucking STUPID to manage a NATIONAL pandemic.

You should go somewhere that doesn’t have a capitalist society. That’s what freedom is all about.
Freedom is all about spreading democracy to the workplace.

Workplace democracy - Wikipedia

"Workplace democracy is the application of democracy in various forms (examples include voting systems, debates, democratic structuring, due process, adversarial process, systems of appeal) to the workplace.[1]

"Workplace democracy is implemented in a variety of ways, dependent on the size, culture, and other variables of an organization.

"Workplace democracy can be anything from direct democracy to employers asking opinions of employees without taking into consideration their beliefs and opinions."

They did? How
Why do capitalists do anything?
To make more profit.

"The blight that led to the (Irish Potato) famine was the result of a fungus called Phytophthora infestans — more commonly known today as Late Blight — imported to England and Ireland from Peru where infected bird guano was harvested by indigenous slave labor under inhuman and often deadly conditions and exported for use as a cheap but profitable fertilizer in Europe.

"Dangers of the blight were well known and warned about, including by Charles Darwin, who was particularly concerned and invested a significant amount of his own money towards finding a solution.

"But as the story too often goes, profit won out."

Capitalism, Colonialism, and the Irish Potato Famine

No profit in the USSR.
That must be why they were such an economic success, eh comrade?

Why would you blame capitalism for a drought and two failed rice crops?
Because British capitalists refused to redistribute grain inside India preferring to export the crops to maintain profits; aren't you sad you weren't there to speculate on that?

What grain.....two failed crops and a drought. Idiot.

Where your ideology goes all wrong, is when it takes away choice, the consequence of choice, and ignores bad actor's, player's, and other's that either seek to rule over the serfs or be fooled into being thankful for being a serf. We don't want or need a system like this, and as Trump said "this nation will never become a socialist nation".... MAGA.

It's why they failed on their side of the line (the eastern side), of the Berlin Wall.
