Idaho Republicans pass resolution urging Supreme Court to end marriage equality

Again, not with each other.

Two straight men could just as easily be called parents if they adopt a child jointly.
Can you imagine the Psychologic Trauma a 10 year old Boy would suffer at school when all the other kids found out Johnny has two Daddies? 10 year old boys are SO forgiving.

I won't deny gay couples the ability to raise children, just don't call it equal, and they need to take measures to have influences of the other sex as part of it.

Same as vegetarians raising their kids as such have to watch their kids nutrition.

So then married couples without kids aren't really married correct?

They are.

My issue is with the SC just declaring SSM and traditional marriage equal because they felt like it.

So? What is your point? Oh, never mind. You have no point. Just tossing some dung at the wall hoping that something sticks

You just don't like my point.

You want acceptance and celebration, not tolerance.

And that is why your side is losing right now. You went too far.

Because they "felt like it" ?? You never read the opinion did you?

In the 2015 Supreme Court case Obergefell v. Hodges, Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote the majority opinion that legalized same-sex marriage in the United States. Kennedy's opinion was based on the Fourteenth Amendment's Due Process and Equal Protection Clauses.

Kennedy's reasoning
  • The right to marry is a fundamental right that applies to everyone, regardless of sexual orientation

  • The right to marry is protected by the Due Process Clause, which prohibits states from depriving people of life, liberty, or property without due process

  • The right to marry is also protected by the Equal Protection Clause, which guarantees equal protection under the law

  • The right to marry is an intimate choice that defines personal identity and beliefs

  • The Constitution promises liberty to all, and that liberty includes the right to marry

I see your point but to me I don't care what others do. It's not my business nor does it threaten my traditional marriage. It's really a nothing burger.

A rotten time.
Really? Kids could walk to School without fear of being snatched by some perv. Kids could play outside without fear. Kids were taught Reading ,Writing ,and Arithmetic. And REAL American History. And they were NOT taught CRT ,Fagism ,and other rot. And Boys were BOYS. Girls were GIRLS. None of this Tranny bullshit. The Suburbs were a place where Regular Americans could escape the filth in the Cities. It was a much better time.

You’re damned right I want acceptance for my LGBT allies. And to a great extent LGBT people have achieved that, with the notables exceptions of dinosaurs like you? You “tolerate “ a noisy neighbor or a sprained ankle …..Human being who are harming no one deserve more

We’re losing? Not really. We have had some setbacks because the bigots in the while house and state house are running amok over this trans issue. That is not losing. It is being bludgeoned and victimized. But as they say, every dog has his day.
