Prosecutors said Morgan was driving a rented, unmarked SUV on the shoulder of Minnesota State Highway 62, when a vehicle driven by the victims moved briefly into the shoulder to try to slow him down.

After the car moved back into the legal lane, Morgan pulled alongside it, opened his window and pointed his service weapon “directly” at the people inside, according to prosecutors.

A criminal complaint filed Thursday states that Morgan and his partner — who was not charged or identified — were driving to the federal Whipple Building to end their shift and get gas at the time.

Morgan also allegedly said he yelled “Police Stop” when drawing his firearm, claiming he “feared for his safety and the safety of others” after the vehicle “cut him off.”

An assistant ICE field office director told investigators that neither Morgan nor his partner reported the incident after it occurred, according to the complaint.

It seems to me that if they were in the right, this is an incident they should have reported.

If they pull a gun on someone during a traffic altercation when the driver has been stalking them and their significant other is yelling “drive baby drive!” then I will support them for drawing their weapon for protection.
