You made many good points, including that TRUMP was popular BEFORE he ran for office, but was quickly
downgraded by organs of propaganda like the MSM and Hollywood as he represented a serious threat to the established order,

There are very few people who can potentially be a threat to the power structure. Yes there are many heroic figures who fight for justice, but very few that challenge the core power of a world-wide consortium that includes Royalty, Bankers, Tech Moguls, Media Outlets, Heads of States and many BILLIONAIRES.

The last two who posed any threat to the powers that be were Ross Perot and TRUMP, both Billionaires, as anybody who cannot have a BIG VOICE with their own resources has no chance against such power.
