Why don't people like close elections?

Al franken lost his close election until they suddenly "found" a bunch of ballots in the trunk of a car...and wouldn't ya know it...they were ALL votes for al franken! Every last one!

The problem is that either party takes a win as a "mandate" and tries to shove its whole agenda down our throats. They ignore half the fucking populace so they can please their "base" and get re-elected.

There is no room for collaboration and innovation right now. It's binary, all or nothing, my way or no way. That only leads to wild swings back and forth, and no continuity. And that's why we're in decline.
