You can make a pretty good living just going to trade school. You don't have to be a doctor or lawyer to make a more than livable wage. I kept this article because it was about my industry. Mind you this was before covid, but a clear illustration of being able to work a job and do pretty good for yourself without four years of college and a 120K debt to repay.

I won't use those lines and I won't go to Walmart outside of medication if that's the way they do things.

Several years ago I went to see my doctor for a checkup. I went to the check in desk and there were no lights on and nobody there. A woman approached me telling me about their new kiosks and escorted me to one. I told her nobody warned me about this idiotic policy and I didn't bring my reading glasses so I couldn't see the screen. She checked me in. While waiting to seem my doctor, several patients were outraged at the kiosks, one saying after his visit, he's switching to another facility.

My next checkup a year later, the kiosks were still there, but so were the receptionists. I seen one person use the kiosk. The rest of us checked in with another human being.

Wow, wish my doctor has that.

Of course they can, but nobody is going to go knocking on doors to get them to work. I get sick of hearing how there are no good jobs around. It's a complete lie. Now, there may not be many non-skilled good paying jobs, but non-skilled jobs are not all blue-collar jobs.

Starter (kids) jobs have never paid a living wage. Those are places you work to establish a work history, perhaps learn a few things, get some references, and just a stepping stone towards better things even if it's within the same company. Today liberals think this is some sort of new right-wing concept. Those no-skill jobs don't pay a living wage!!!!!! Well guess what, I'm 61 years old, and they never have! They didn't when I worked them and they don't today.

Minimum wage jobs makeup around 3.5% of our workforce. Liberals want to screw up our entire economy to cater to those 3% of people, most are kids or adults that don't want to quit using dope to pass a drug test for a better paying job.

The future in the US looks like every fucking doper being 'streamed' through high school then goes on to get a free education and a fucking degree in 'Transgender Studies' and then in desperation, b/c the parents are too fucking broke to house and feed the dopers anymore, end up applying for 'McJobs' only to be shown the latest robot which can unpackage the frozen fries, which another robot has packaged into specific portions and put the fries into a fryer which is programmed to leave the fries in the hot stinking canola oil, then remove the portion and put the fries into the cardboard container, which another robot has put the napkin, salt pack and ketchup and vinegar packs, which anthor robot in China has manufactured, then set the fries in the paper bag which another robot made. then the bag is positioned on a rack where the lone human employee hands the bag to the person waiting at the drive by window.
The doper is told not to bother applying again in person but they are welcome to apply online.
The doper goes home to mommy and mommy sneaks the doper a twenty when daddy isn't looking. The doper walks to the corner store and buys a bottle of 'red' and a pack of red licorice which were produced mainly by robots. She then goes to her room and watches a couple of Bob Ross episodes. Just another fucking day in paradise.

The odd thing is, that would increase the quality of the McFood. Machines can do it better than humans can, because they do it exactly the same way, every time.

It doesn't matter because I still paid into the system and now getting back what was promised. When you pay your house and car insurance, do you really think they have a box on a shelf with your name on it? Of course not. The money you paid was also spent long ago, so I don't understand your point or failed comparison here.

I'm pointing out that there is a difference between paying into the system and getting back what was promised to never paying into the system and being supported by those that are. It's apples and oranges. If half of the people in this country don't work and never will, then the other half have to work to support them. It would take such a huge chunk out of their paycheck it wouldn't be worth going to work in the first place. The last CDC estimate on raising a child from birth until the age of 18 is $233,000 for middle-class households. Supporting people is not cheap.

Fast food vending machines aren't that new or an original concept.

But I can guarantee you that the more complicated a machine is the more easily it becomes broken.

Automobiles today usually are so complicated these days that it's usually a case of managing the repairs and warranty work. Lots of the various "bells and whistles" break down and need repair.

Hydraulics, electronics and electrical systems repair are going to be needed to begin to understand how to start diagnostics of what is wrong with a fast food vending machine.

And guys like me who know these subjects well get paid fat for the work. The bill I'd charge is going to be astronomically high.
And I'd be yelling at a skinny dope head kid that can actually fit inside the gizmos to do the job right the whole time...
While I'm cycling the gizmo to get me a free milkshake or cold drink to soothe my throat that gets irritated from all my yelling.

It helps to go to college...but completely unnecessary. Tradesman are the future backbone of the economy. Everything needs maintenance and repairs.

They can actually build automobiles without a soul doing anything but feeding the robots the parts.
The unions keep a few people around as part of their collective bargaining agreement. But as labor becomes more expensive... probably not going to keep the few.

We are promoting the idea of replacing people with robots. There will be no choice whether to work or not.

Food stylist actually makes the food in the pictures. It's an industry all in itself.

The food you get will never look like it's picture. Nor would you want it to...food stylist food isn't edible.
