I feel really sad for this country because the concepty of individualsim and the liberty that goes with it has been squashed completely. Look at how many people have to justify their actions to their leaders and to the political process as something that either benefits the whole or is politically correct in some way. It is no longer acceptable that a person can do things on their own merits for themselves or to even to hold an idea that isn't inline with PC doctrine without have to justify it in PC terms so one will not be "judged".

To sum it up, this country is not free or at least not free on the individual level.

I said I feel sad for the society that had developed into a socialist way of thinking. I did not say I hated my fellow Americans because if I was a liberal I would have added that all Americans are evil murderers because of some either slavery or vietnam and that is not what I said.

Its the way of thinking that imprisons the mind from being what it wants hence denying the individual the power to choose his/her own personality and have that be chosen for them by the political process.

Its possible for one to love their country but not like the politics of it because a country is not idealogy but land, borders, and culture and what people happen to think at any particular moment is a separate thing from that because when one says that they love france they are saying they love the culture but not the policies of its government or its current political thinking.
