What suprises me the most, is that as retired has said, I am voting for him only because he is Black.

I remember looking at the RNC and the DNC conventions where the leaders are. Hmmm, didn't see a lot of them Negroes there.

It was always going to be an issue. BUT I think we've already discussed on this board that if it was colin powell running, it WOULDN'T be an issue. So, I'd suspect that color has already been a factor in where the polls are in terms of the demographic. I doubt that will factor in a second time.

I am arguing the fact. A simple reading and comprehension level woul dnote that I stated there are just as many racists/bigots on the left as the right, or words to that effect. I do not, as you on the left try to spin it, attempt to deny the existence of racism on the right.

many southerners live with the largest population of Blacks, and alot of animosity is present there among both whites and blacks, towards eachother.

Where I live, we only have 1% of our population as black, my previous state in the northeast of massachusetts had less than 3% of the population as black, while my previous state to this was Florida is probably 12%-15% minimum black population and the state i was born in, Alabama probably has 25% of their population as black....

The South is who had most of the slaves, the south had alot more wounds to heal with the history of blacks and slavery and lynchings in America and from my years alone, i have witnessed GREAT PROGRESS among white/black relationships with healing animosities....but there still is alot farther to go since the mid 60's when civil rights came in to fruition imo.

And most of the people in the south, lean republican...NOT because of their animosity toward's blacks, but MORE for social conservative issues....

Yeah, I can easily accept that some people, on both sides of the aisle as the article YOU posted supports, won't vote for Obama because he is black. Welcome to the real world.

I'm WAY more objective than you. Don't think however that I feel special about it because that really doesn't require much of an accomplishment. It actually requires little more than recognizing the other party's candidate is not the antichrist and that the GOPs candidate's shit stinks too. Have I ever said that Obama is perfect? No. But he is in my opinion a hell of a lot better choice than McCain. If he gets into office and fucks up as bad as Bush has, I will also be asking for his impeachment.

Since we only have two choices to pick from, I will chose the one I think is better qualified or the lesser of two evils.

But I am glad to know that you are such a good judge of character and mental competence.
