Obama should offer to meet with Bush along with his team adviser (think Robert Rubin and Alan Greenspan) to help advice and offer support to come to a bi-partsan proposal for getting through the current crisis. This is not only the right thing to do in a time of crisis, but it will also be politically advantageous in positing him as the leader of the democratic party (rather than Nancy Pelecy), and it will re-enforce his credentials as a bi-partisan leader that reaches across the aisle to do what needs to be doen to get things done in a time of crisis. It will also position him as a leader on economic issue (the issue that will be THE issue for this election).
