Zone1 I believe in free will

Call it free will or call it Fred.

The reality is that you are not the conscious agent of your own decisions. You make decisions before you realize it.
UNLESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Unless you are Trump or support Trump, in which case you are 100% to blame and guilty as charged, even without a trial.

But I think that is only common sense.

Otherwise, you simply cannot be held to account for your actions.

This song describes me in my Christian ways.

Cool song. Doesn't answer the question though.
You ever notice how many that claim Christianity either try to misdirect or give a trite answer that has nothing to do with the question when questioned?

Your subconscious brain is you right?
Yes, which explains my post from earlier. I'm glad you're caught up.

Is your foot also you? Yes.

But surely you can find a difference between your consciousness as "you" and your foot as "you".

If not, then i can't help you.

I've been on this website since Bush but I wanted to introduce a new part of me.

I prayed that the President would do the right thing even if I didn't recognize it.

God did me one better.

There's a scripture in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that says men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause and do many things of their own free will..

I thought there was no scientific way there is free will but now I realize you can take risks and do things uninstructed.

I believe in free will, and I'm ready for it so I can live a better life.

Why in the world would you assume that people would not have free will?

It doesn't seem to be any great revelation.

Did you ever have any reason to believe that people did not have free will?

Or when you grew up, did you use "The Devil Made Me do it" as your excuse for bad behavior?

May it serve you well. As a counter-culture non-conformist, I'm pretty darn good at it , if I say so myself.

Don't need your help.

And no, your feet aren't for making decisions.

Your consciousness is your brain, it's what you use to make decisions with, conscious or sub-consciously.

Duh.

Actually, they are integrated right into the subconscious system of walking. So yes, the nerve feedback from your feet absolutely figures into the decision on how to take your next step.

So you're wrong.

You came here to troll, and it's not working out well for you.

Your consciousness is your brain, it's what you use to make decisions with, conscious or sub-consciously.
Both false and irrelevant.

We are talking about agency.

I don't think you know what that word means.

I did not see anything in science that could grant us free will. I still believed in consciousness and God.

There is a counter- counter-culture too.

Acting like everything in America is influenced by religion/Jesus Christ for instance.

Without free choices, there can be no virtue or fault, eh?

Yes we can. The thing is that even without free choice, there are still consequences.

So, if you do something wrong, even if there's not choice there, you still suffer those consequences.
