I am officially off of all meds including Tylenol.

Contrary to popular belief, that only happens if you take excessive quantities. I had a liver transplant 3 years ago. Guess what is the only painkiller that I am allowed to take? Tylenol.
Me too. Transplant waiting.....I am not allowed to take NSaids, Ibuprofin, Alieve,,,,

Congratulations. Good for you. I hope that works well for you going forward.

Every time I’ve tried to get off my blood pressure and cholesterol meds I find what I have to give up to do it is more than I’m willing to do. It’ll probably shorten my life but such is life.

I pray you get one soon. The changes in my life were well worth the wait and the suffering. I am healthier now than at any point in the last 30 years. Paise God and thanks to Joshua, my donor.

78 here. blood test last week shows everything normal, even testosterone level is dead center normal. Blood pressure high, varies between 120 and 145, so taking Valsartan for that. Almost deaf from lifelong ear problems, but that has never bothered me. Eat whatever I want still, never drank much but smoked heavily from age 14, finally quit when I turned 63, so will probably get emphysema sooner or later. Most in the family seem to die around 93 or so. The smoking will probably drop me by mid-80's I'm guessing, and I can't sleep more than a couple of hours at a time. As long as I can still get out on my bike a little every day I'm happy. I never pay any attention to cholesterol levels. Some people are going to have high levels n matter what they eat or do. My Grandpa ate T bone steaks and roasts up til the day he died at 92 from an aneurysm. Just sat in his recliner and went to sleep and never woke up, bled to death internally.

Sounds like you're doing good if you're still biking at 78. I was taking Norvasc for BP we'll see how it goes without it. No side effects that I notice, so if the BP goes back up, I just take it again no biggee. Enjoy every day!

That stuff, and that clondindine made my legs feel like lead blocks, so they tried the Valsartan and triamterene or something, cant spell it without looking at the bottle. and that has worked fine for the last few years. Quiting the sugar and caffeine and cigs helped the most by far. My lower number stays between 68 and 74.

Wow, I never felt any effects from Norvasc. Were you taking more than 5mg a day? Just curious.

15th post
I take Tylenol ,its the only thing that helps with the pain.

If you start taking BP meds for hypertension and your BP gets to a normal level, that does not mean you should stop taking them.

You guys realize that’s not how it works, don’t you?
