I was down to a low dose of blood pressure medication but after my check up today the doc said I could stop taking it unless my BP gets back up to 130/85. Cholesterol 169 and all other labs normal. Losing 15 lbs and stopping drinking except for an occasional beer made a big difference.

At 68 a Blood Pressure reading of 130/85 is fine
140/90 would even be OK if your Heart is good ----- ECG and Ultra Sound results , say .
Well done on weight and life style change .

I imagine Cholesterol is measured differently because here we have a normal range of say 2.5 to 5.0.
Probably as important is the "Good "Cholesterol component (HDL ) and its ratio with the "Bad" part (LDL)

Right? I look around the doctor's waiting room and think "WTF happened?"
Want to have real fun? Go to the VA hospital and realize that you are the youngest one there and you are not that young! The only time I am not, is when my 38-year-old disabled veteran son goes with me. Then he is the youngster.

I'm sorry to read that. Thank you for you and your son's service to the country. :salute:

Tylenol is liver poison. Do not take it.
Aspirin and Ibuprofen if ya gotta.

Congrats...Very happy for you.

For any inflammation, I highly recommend full spectrum CBD...Cured my plantar fascitis when nothing else worked.

Thanks my brother-in-laws' experience with Opioids and then going with Weed for painkilling convinced me. As you say nothing worked for him until he went with cannabis.

Just FYI, there's no buzz from the CBD products...Though you will piss a hot UA with the full spectrum products, if that is a risk for you.

I'm currently using this one, which is great...Just on the occasion of overexertion and the resulting inflammation....Use only a single sublingual shot a couple times a day as needed for starters...Why use more than you need for it to work?

Contrary to popular belief, that only happens if you take excessive quantities. I had a liver transplant 3 years ago. Guess what is the only painkiller that I am allowed to take? Tylenol.

Thanks, I keep a bottle of aspirin around if needed.

Check with GP as aspirin and apixaban serve separate needs

Apixaban (Eliquis) is generally more effective than aspirin for preventing strokes in patients with atrial fibrillation( Irregular heart rhythm ), but aspirin is often used for broader cardiovascular protection .
