“I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion."

Apparently Allen West doesn't pay attention to what goes on in the world or reading much about history.

He's brillant and an expert in miltary history boy:slap:

The causes of war, and how wars are fought are two entirely different things.

All wars are caused because of banking and resources. Not because populations want to or refuse to fight. What tripe.

The Allies and their puppet masters had blood on their hands before WWII, just as the US and her allies have blood on their hands now. If there is to be a war, the elites that run things will have them. Apparently, this Allen West is one of their propagandists that helps drag the people along. :bs1:

The conspiracy theorist of the board...it's the bankers:uhoh3:

He has a point though. How many of our soldiers knew any Iraqi's, Afghani's, or Vietnamese before invading their countries? None of these countries, separated from us by thousands of miles of ocean, and they not having navies, landing craft, long range bombers, icbm's, posed any danger to us. Soldiers killing soldiers because why? A little poem by Hardy below.

"Had he and I but met
By some old ancient inn,
We should have sat us down to wet
Right many a nipperkin!

"But ranged as infantry,
And staring face to face,
I shot at him as he at me,
And killed him in his place.

"I shot him dead because —
Because he was my foe,
Just so: my foe of course he was;
That's clear enough; although

"He thought he'd 'list, perhaps,
Off-hand like — just as I —
Was out of work — had sold his traps —
No other reason why.

"Yes; quaint and curious war is!
You shoot a fellow down
You'd treat if met where any bar is,
Or help to half-a-crown."

And more than just a few of our soldiers volunteer now because good jobs with benefits are getting scarce.
Just like the two guys in the poem.

People volunteer to because they want to serve their country. Our country was founded by war. we've also freed, and kept free, 100s of millions of people:thup:
Ahh haaa. . . I think I see where our disagreement and our conflict in points of view are.

You believe the "free" society that spans the globe is a healthy one, is that it? Nice. Unfortunately what you perceive to be free, is anything but. Elite interests have bought the controlling structure and it is only free for those who own it.

Sure, more war to expand and defend this insanity, is that what you are for?

See, now most of the progressives here will speak to you of socialism, world government and NGO's. Sure, they will also agree with the corporate industrialists about the fascist war machines. Isn't everyone a Keynesian now?

When you are for using the government to intervene around the world, and you are in agreement with liberals who also get in office and do the same thing, you know you need to rethink where you stand. What Democrats achieve with a scalpel, Republicans do with a club.

But I'm talking about the Government not being in bed with the Banks and the Defense industry anymore. Screw socialism, screw corporatism. They both lead to war.

I put quite a lot pointing out given his disgraceful military record, no one should listen to Uncle Tom West on much of anything.

No one should listen to an anti American, Jew hater, who calls black people who don't "cow tow" to the leftist "uncle toms". Thankfully most white people aren't has dumb as you :slap:

Come on, joe. You didn't think you would be called out on your story? from cnn

Following a military hearing, West was fined $5,000 over two months, according to West's civillian attorney, Neal Puckett.

The punishment does not affect West's eligibility for retirement and pension, Puckett said in a statement...

Apparently not knowing where West's gun was aimed, Hamoody cracked and gave information about the planned ambush on West's convoy, thwarting the attack.

West said there were no further ambushes on U.S. forces in Taji until he was relieved of his leadership post on October 4.

Lol..torture? Firing a couple shots above the mans head?

Gotta love Allen West

Scumbag tortured a guy who hadn't worked with the insurgents. not to mention his men beat the guy up before the shooting.

Hey. We have regulations against this sort of thing, and we have them for a REASON.

You forget, Progressives are rooting for the Jihadists

Adam West was a crappy officer and leader, which is why he was forced to retire.

And yeah...............just because you're a high ranking officer, doesn't mean you're a good leader, or even a decent human being. On my first ship, we had a Captain that was a micro managing idiot who got in the way of everyone doing their job. One time, during a fog, the Captain got nervous about our course, so he took the wheel from the helmsman and promptly ran over a bouy about 4 min later. He was relieved of command a short while afterwards. We even had to go to drydock to get a new propeller installed, because there were chunks that were chewed out of all 3 blades.

Nope, just because you're a Colonel (the equivalent of Navy Captain), doesn't mean that you necessarily know what you're doing. I've met many officers at the Commander to Captain ranks that were pretty miserable human beings.

Flag officers? Generally, they are pretty decent to hang around. They've already got their star and know they made it.

Allen West's men support him you moron.:slap:

West's soldiers themselves were guilty of violations of the UCMJ for participating in his abuse of a prisoner.

You do get what West did is actually a violation of the UCMJ and the Geneva Conventions, right?

Or do you think the "Law' only applies to not keeping your e-mails in the right server and lying about a blow job.

Now, here's the thing. There's a great reason WHY the Army threw West out. If your goal is to win over the local people, to get them to work with you instead of against you, the last thing you want to do is take someone who has signed up to work with you and then abuse them.

Again- the Police Officer who West abused was not charged with a crime. No evidence was found of this supposed plot to assassinate West in his home or the homes of other Iraqis he named when he thought West was going to murder him and he might have given up his own mother out of fear.

But I'm sure when he got out, the first thing he said to his neighbors was, "Man, the AMericans are totally awesome!!!! We need to totally work with those guys!"

Interestingly enough, in the story I just told you, there were a few people that supported the Captain.

They were known as "stooges".

Just because you support a failed leader, doesn't make them a better person, or leader.

I mean...................many of the Germans supported the Nazis (Yeah...............I decided to follow many of those on the right and try to invoke Godwin's Law).

Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland says he beat up an Afghan police commander he was supposed to be mentoring because he was fed up with the commander’s “brutal” sexual abuse of a village boy.

Now Martland’s case is being championed by a California congressman and several veteran Green Berets who contend he shouldn’t be punished further.

Martland, 33, was awarded two Bronze Star medals, including one for valor, during his time at JBLM. He likely will be discharged in November because the discipline handed to him for assaulting the Afghan made him a target for Army downsizing. Veteran soldiers with negative performance reviews in their service records are being culled from the ranks as part of the post-Iraq War drawdown.

The case sheds light on the tensions that can build when U.S. soldiers are told to tolerate foreign customs that are repugnant to them.

A one-star general reprimanded Martland after the September 2011 incident for a “flagrant departure from the integrity, professionalism and even-tempered leadership I expect from all soldiers of this command, but especially a Special Forces professional.”

But Martland’s supporters say he has grown into a respected Special Operations trainer in Florida and has won accolades from other highly regarded Green Berets. They’re appealing to Secretary of Defense Ash Carter to intervene.

“The fact that this one incident — an incident that was seriously misinterpreted by Army leadership, without even taking into consideration the moral necessity to intervene — is now the determining factor in SFC Martland’s career is a black mark for the U.S. Army,” California Rep. Duncan Hunter, a former Marine, wrote to Carter last week.

So what's your point, Jew-boy? This SFC violated regulations. His superiors reviewed the incident, and gave him non-judicial punishment he's had four years to appeal.

and now that we are finally dismantling the huge, wasteful war machine needed to fight a war on an emotional state, this guy isn't going to get retained because there are a bunch of guys who didn't break the regulations are being kept.

Works for me.

Which has nothing to do with West violating regulations, and getting casheired out for being a crazy asshole.

No, I just don't mistake Zionists interests for Americas.

The Zionists have hteir own agenda. They don't care about dead American soldiers and neither do you.

West endangered American soldiers by antagonizing the people we had to work with.

The Iraq War was lost at Abu Grahib.
