News media have been quick to pounce on reports that clinical trials have found hydroxychloroquine to be ineffective as a COVID-19 treatment and even to cause arrhythmia (irregular heart beat). But there is also evidence that hydroxychloroquine is an effective treatment for COVID-19 in a number of cases when it is used correctly:

EXCERPT: First off is an abstract from the Marseilles IHU group of Dr. Didier Raoult. It presents 1061 patients treated for at least 3 days with their hydroxychloroquine/azithromycin combination, with follow-up of at least 9 days. It includes the statement “98% of patients cured so far” and says also “No cardiac toxicity was observed”, and also says that mortality figures were improved in these patients as compared with others receiving standard-of-care without such treatment.

This is a brief interview with Dr. Anthony Cardillo, a doctor in Los Angeles. He describes the success he has had with using hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19. Note that he cautions that if the drug is used incorrectly, it will not only fail but will cause serious side effects.
EXCERPT from video: "Every patient I've prescribed it to has been very, very ill, and within 8 to 12 hours they were basically symptom free."

EXCERPT: The initial results from a placebo-controlled trial of hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 indicate that patients hospitalized with mild illness recovered more quickly with addition of the drug than with placebo at the start of a standard treatment. The results also suggest that hydroxychloroquine might convey some protection against the illness worsening.

EXCERPT: Twenty cases were treated in this study and showed a significant reduction of the viral carriage at D6-post inclusion compared to controls, and much lower average carrying duration than reported of untreated patients in the literature. Azithromycin added to hydroxychloroquine was significantly more efficient for virus elimination.

Despite its small sample size our survey shows that hydroxychloroquine treatment is significantly associated with viral load reduction/disappearance in COVID-19 patients and its effect is reinforced by azithromycin.

So just never mind the numerous documented cases and the clinical trials in which hydroxychloroquine has proved to be effective as a treatment for COVID-19, when used properly? Just never mind, hey?

Yes, the drug has not proved to be the "game changer" that people hoped it would be, but neither has it proved to be ineffective in all cases. In fact, it has proved to be effective in many cases.

yet you can't find any single instance of him saying that. you're just making it up and attributing it to him so you can go TEE HEE GIGGLE HE STOOPID!

now - to show how gullible the left is -

Costa Rica. Two 87 year olds died in March. Next was a 45 year old "performer" from NY. Obese, drugs etc etc. Damn near DOA and lived only a couple weeks.Next was and 83 year old guy with "pre-existing" conditions. Next was a 56 year old doctor who had been in ICU a month and a half after catching it in Panama and was called a "mass spreader"here. He died last week.
Everyone here + has been HYDRXQ/antibiotic(various) from day one.
Over 300 cleared as of today and a bit higher number(380) "active". Maybe a dozen new + in a week. Less than 10 in ICU and a similar amount even hospitalized.
Nuff said.

So people who have gotten this drug have survived, but liberals don't want new patients to get this drug anymore?

As far as anyone can tell the same number of people who have not gotten the drug have survived... minus the ones killed by it that is

Now a days, Fauci calls Trump if he wants to know something about the virus. Pelosi and the unhinged Dems. call CNN.
